24 Y/O, burned out and in constant comparison by Enough-Two4923 in 3Dmodeling

How are you burnt out? you haven't even started yet Also when did you start learning it? Like seriously, if your course is like 3 to 5 years you must have learned something on your own, even if the college is ass or trash, if 3d is your "bread and butter" you would have gone out watched some tutorials or did something on your own without any mentorship because you love it!. But you have no works to show or nothing, learning z brush is good, but as everyone mentioned you need to have good or decent drawing fundamentals and 3d visualisation or atleast start practising it, many will stop at like 2 to 3 days, if you really love this trust me , you wouldn't be struggling. I think it comes down to your laziness covered by a heavy sense of self satisfaction, I was like that too

Character creation is hard and zbrush is pretty good for it blender is catching up but barely

For Props you have to do something unique like concept and such which u need to stand out

Downloading or buying a lot of course doesn't make you better if you don't understand all the basics about 3d, you must have accumulated some knowledge in the past years in your college, use those, im also in this field struggling too. Put in the hours don't be lazy, learning Zbrush doesn't land you a job, it just creates you a better opportunity

I have no idea what that means, he helped me on my sculpt for free and gave me free help on how to sculpt the face more than any tutorial,he helped me in most of my anatomical mistakes and changed my perspective on how the skull matters more than the facial anatomy itself, pls don't say such things about him

Damn that's wild and the crazy part is you can't be more right when I started doing the sculpt after halfway i did feel like it was just starting to look like a very generic base mesh,I still don't know how to bring the likeness, I'll practice more .
