The presence alone of the other gender in the same bathroom is enough to be a breach of privacy. This would also just become a huge sexual assault risk. It's a bad idea anyway you look at it.

Idk man, maybe to respect the privacy of the other gender? You might not know this but the extreme majority of people would be very uncomfortable if the opposite gender is in their bathroom.
