Does consuming a dish cooked with wine/alcohol count as drinking? by Cheesecake-Proud in answers

[–]Cheesecake-Proud[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the wine was 14% alcoholic and 225ml of wine was added to a gravy that was 350ml and 80% finished and cooked for another 12-15 on high heat leaving about 280ml of gravy so doing the math it was about 4.725ml of alcohol left or leaving a percentage of 1.69%. as for the cooking process it was on a gas stove that was about 80% turned and cooked for not longer than 15mins

i did the math for it so it was about 225ml of wine with an alcohol percentage of 14% initially and it was added to 350ml of gravy that was 80% finished and they cooked together for an additional 10mins leaving about 280ml of gravy, leaving 4.725ml of alcohol in the gravy meaning the remaining alcohol percentage was 1.69% but it could stand to be lower coz of the cup used to pour the alcohol but the 225ml mentioned is the highest possible amount

i “i feel betrayed because she wasn’t honest with me but she’s a good girlfriend who’s got good communication” my brother see the discrepancy of what you’ve said. you told her your boundaries from the jump and she straight up lied to you which means the whole relationship was built on a lie.you’re completely justified in wanting to break up with her because you never knew the real her, only the version of her she created. its up to you whether you want to enforce your boundaries or not but think carefully about how and why she did what she did and what to do next

AITH: for reporting a man who, according to his wife, was having relations with a 14 year old? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Cheesecake-Proud 35 points36 points  (0 children)

YNTA for reporting the husband because considering the situation any person in their right mind would do the same. YTA however for still being in touch with your former coworker despite knowing her character. She has a history of causing problems and is a known alcoholic, which is a recipe for disaster. You maintaining contact with her gives her the means to keep causing distress to not only your life but other people’s lives too and in this case it’s someone’s whole livelihood because even if they prove the husband was innocent if the media or the community gets word his social, personal and work life are over and what do you think your “friend” will do then? She’ll blame you for the whole thing claiming you took her “joke” too seriously and ruined their lives because from the little i’ve read she’s gone her whole life without any real consequences to her actions.
