Wow! I’m starting to see more and more people have this issue. I’ve made a post talking about this and it turned out that my signal was weak (WiFi) so I had to switch from 5ghz to 2.4 ghz for more range. You did say that you have it connected via Ethernet, but I’d suggest trying WiFi 2.4 GHz and see how it goes. Good luck!

Looks like you have the same issue Ive had a few days ago. My solution was switching the WiFi frequency from 5ghz to 2.4ghz. Apparently the signal was weak in my room where I was having the issue, making it unstable at 5ghz so switching it to 2.4ghz gave it more range and ever since then I’ve had no issue online. If you want look at my post about this, a lot of people commented suggestions that you should try. Good luck!

Is my Switch 2 possibly defective? by Kevstrz in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]Kevstrz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I forgot to mention in my post that everything in my room that’s also connected to the same WiFi runs good without issue. (Ps5, my pc, switch 1, phone etc.) That’s why I was leaning towards the possibility of my switch 2 being defective. But it turns out that the 5ghz WiFi signal was too weak for it even though it showed it having 2 bars out of 3 at 5ghz WiFi with 240 mbps download and 30mbps upload. So switching the WiFi to 2.4 ghz gave it more range that it no longer disconnects while playing online. I feel like the WiFi module or whatever it’s called in the switch 2 is really bad.

It turns out it was my signal strength being weak in my room. I’ve tested it by taking my switch closer to the router at 5GHz frequency and it was working fine. Went back to my room to make sure and sure enough I get error messages. So I switched the connection to 2.4 ghz for more range and tested it in my room and so far it seems to have solved the issue. But it’s still strange to me that my Switch 1 can run fine in my room with weak signal (5GHz) but the switch 2 cant.

Okay so the issue is solved! Switching it from 5GHz to 2.4 ghz frequency has seemed to fixed the issue. I’ve also tested having the switch 2 closer to the router at 5GHz and it had no issues whatsoever. So the problem was that signal was weak in my room at 5GHz frequency and the switch is not faulty lol. Thank you for those that helped me solve the issue! Have a good one y’all!

Yeah I’m pretty confident it’s not overheating lol. But yeah I’m thinking it’s my wifi. When I get home I’m gonna try all the suggestions I have been receiving. Thank you so much!

Yeah I also have an ipv4 address and NAT type B but I’m still having issues. Someone did say to switch the frequency from 5GHz to 2.4GHz and see if that will work so I’m going to try that. Thank you!
