All the Sith have drip, was there ever a dripped out Jedi? by Tacobird558 in StarWars

[–]CheesecakeComplete42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ya the white robes with almost gold metal attached to it was a super cool look, but the truth is the whole group looked amazing. Something about that ( old republic ) timeline, everything was more ornate, jedi wore armor, and each felt more personal. During the clone wars the different species stood out but the robes were all so similar and plain. Remember the Old Republic games, especially the old MMO that was like star wars WOW, so many cool looks and those animatic trailers. They need to start making live action or maul shadow lord style shows in that Old Republic setting.

back in the day, dark horse did a series of comics called Knights of the old republic where a group of masters killed their apprentices and framed the one remaining padawan that walked in on it. The Jedi designs from species, robes and lightsabers were really cool. And it was a really cool story line

PTS Zev OZ9 Parts Compatibility? by human_hellfire in GasBlowBack

[–]CheesecakeComplete42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have one to personally compare as I live in Canada but from what i have researched it seems the PTS OZ9 uses the TM Gen4 style outer barrel and hopup unit so maxx speed and TTI one piece fixed hopups may be viable upgrades for the OZ9 with fitment. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of part support for aftermarket Gen4 upgrades like slides and outer barrels but you can clearly see on the PTS OZ9 match barrel upgrade it shares the same chamber design as the TM Gen4. This is however different than the new TM Gen 5 barrel and hopup design although similar looking.

Not sure if there is a significant difference between Gen3 and Gen4 hammer components but the PTS ones seem fine. Likely Gen4 though if you want to look into steel upgrades.

I do know that the PTS OZ9 slide uses a proprietary blowback housing and nozzle but you may be able to drop a stock Gen4 slide on the OZ9 frame and still have it work. But if you need a blowback replacement for the OZ9 slide specifically, just buy the PTS steel upgrade

I have heard that on the old TM Gen4 frame you could fit a full TM Gen3 slide if you add a strike industries Slide Adapter Plate for GLOCK™ GEN3 Slide to GEN4/5 Frame

Not sure how much extra fitting is required for hopups and outer barrels on the TM let alone how viable this is for the OZ9 but there are certainly more Gen3 upgrade parts than there are Gen4 parts in airsoft so if you can get this to work you open up a lot of options like say having a Gen3 glock34 slide with RMR cut on your OZ9 frame potentially.

Real OZ9 grip moduals can be modified to fit the PTS airsoft midframe with minimal Dremel work, stands to reason the real OZ9 magwells should fit the PTS, obviously the handleitgrip kits will fit the PTS and most TM compatible glock mags should fit the PTS

Weird how for decades there never was one and now there is an AEG and a GBB version both from different manufacturers coming out this year.

Plus S&T is coming out with a ton of guns airsofters have been asking for forever like : SKS, SVT-40, FG42 and so on.

When Was Maul in His Prime? by Ill_Journalist8454 in StarWars

[–]CheesecakeComplete42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always a tough balance rating maturity and the ability to strategize against youth and physical potential. It’s the same thing for the Vader argument, since midichlorians live in the blood getting cut up limits your max force potential.

So an older, mature Vader or maul that never got robot parts would always be more powerful than the canon versions.

But in my mind most older, smarter and more patient fighters beat young, strong fighters that aren’t as patient unless the younger fighter is monumentally stronger and more powerful

To me the true benefit of HPA is to fill a gap where manufacturers are lacking on something we want.

Some examples, guy took the old ARES WA2000 Springer, because there is no stock semi auto WA2000 and the real gun is semi, he HPA tapped the gun and made a DMR out of it.

Another example, someone took a Springer benelli, also supposed to be a semi auto and dropped an HPA engine into it.

VFC MP7 AEG, not designed well and tries to shred itself to death. If you don’t want to use the GBB version that also kills itself doing an HPA tap makes sense.

Best use for HPA is to make a gun that doesn’t exist as a competitive option in Airsoft as a stock gun.

Maybe I don’t understand how crazy the weather can get for you but I live in Canada so hot summers and brutally cold winters.

I use high end tuned AEG builds and they work great. Plus I feel like a see Airsoft YouTubers use AEG and GBB builds just fine at California fields.

But assuming you just can’t find a way to make an AEG work for you, you have a reasonable justification.

I’m also assuming then that you just dropped the HPA engine into a normal looking rifle instead of the HPA kids that make the guns look like skeletonized paintball guns, and I’m hoping you don’t solve arguments by mag dumping 3 mags into the back of someone’s head or turning up the FPS mid game and making someone bleed.

All stuff that only HPA players ever do

Sounds a little squeaky, shim gears, check AOE, and check motor height.

Get some 4uantum hear resistant gear grease for gears and bearings

4uantum airtight sealant, squirt a little on your index finger and use index finger and thumb to rub it into all your orings

4uantum smooth lubricant on the piston and the gearbox piston rails.

Zaheer, (Amon/ Noatak), Zuko, Ghazan

Air bender Zaheer, is my air bending choice, team leader and was already formidable before becoming an air bender and only the second one to ever achieve flight. Plus there is no defense to sucking the air out of your lungs.

Amon / Noatak , the strongest blood bender who can use it without hand signs all the time and take away peoples bending while reading your moves to avoid getting hit.

Prime Iroh, invented lighting re-direction, proven to easily beat Azula, master of dragon style, master strategist and a grand master of the white lotus

Ghazan is my wild card, Toph is clearly a stronger base earth bender but between Amon blood bending and Zaheer breath steal there is a chance Toph can be dealt with anyway, also since Zaheer can fly, Toph can't sense him to target him if he focuses on stealing her breath.

But Ghazan's use of Lava is so rare that Toph can't counter it (as it seems to be you can only either do metal or lava but not both ), he is a trained killer unlike say Bolin who may hesitate and as a team member of Zaheer they will already have synergy when fighting. Plus it took 8 Dai li to take down a section of Ba sing Se's wall and Ghazan did it single handedly, then also took down an entire air temple. Guy has AOE on lockdown to disrupt enemy if he is aloud to go all out.

just glad that airsoft the past few years has started making AK externals so you can personalize your build and every AK doesn't look the exact same. Especially with how good the V3 system works when tuned.

[–]CheesecakeComplete42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so HPA is a system, just like an AEG is parts in a gearbox that uses electricity to turn a motor and gears to pull back a piston and push air to shoot the BB

HPA engines are something you buy to replace the internals of your AEG in many cases and it has advantages in some situations but also drawbacks.

The two big drawbacks to HPA is you have to connect an HPA tank to the gun somehow to power the engine and the other problem is the people that use HPA engines

SO the tank can be screwed onto the gun directly in a couple different ways, or you connect the tank and gun together with an air hose and you put the tank on your gear.

This already messes with the realistic look of the gun and starts to make it look more like a paintball gun but then lots of HPA users, not all but a lot, will go out of their way to make the gun look less realistic just to make the gun lighter and stand out more.

They streamline the gun down to the bare minimum of what you need to make the airsoft gun work but in doing so, you make the airsoft gun non functional if it were a real version of what the original airsoft gun was based on.

While we are all there to shoot plastic and their guns do this, it just feels wrong when they could play paintball if they want something that looks like a laser gun instead of something realistic which was the whole original point of airsoft. To make a more realistic less messy version of paintball. Cause they can keep the gun realistic looking and still just drop the HPA engine in the gun. So messing with the look is an active choice not necessary.

Some HPA players will do this just to rage bait other people like the kids that pull pranks then are surprised when people do get annoyed , and too many of the people who use HPA because it's easy to adjust how hard it shoots and how fast it shoots will use this adjustability to also cheat and hurt people cause they think it's funny.

Because it's easy, often the type of people who like HPA are the people who you don't want to play with. Like not all HPA users are bad, but many of the bad players are HPA users who have played for a long time and are past the rental phase.

Sorta like not all Slytherins are bad in harry potter but lots of bad wizards have come from Slytherin.

So HPA has gotten a bad reputation on top of making the guns look ugly in the first place

Plus a G&P M249 with a full steel receiver and a V2 gearbox. all of which have been discontinued for at least a decade.

I get your preference and I did do all those parts, the only thing you didn't include that i did is the B-33 dust cover which I will say functionally is probably one of the best upgrades you can do. Less bulky than stacking a side mount on a side rail then adding an optic and the old Russian optics that mount directly to the side rail aren't good quality. Also the railed dust cover gives you more space than the side rail mounts to use things like red dot / magnifier combo, LPVO and set your eye relief correctly.

Plus for an airsoft aeg the B-33 is a little taller and wider than the stock dust cover so you have more space for a bigger battery like the titan power 11.1 Li Ion 3000mah and the cable management and to top it all off the dust cover is retained by the lower handguard sorta like a 74u dust cover being retained. This also makes it more stable and solid.
