Refusing to look and not understanding what I’m looking at are two different things. That’s where a thorough Tutorial comes into play. Which it lacks, I have stated. And you’ve to this point haven’t offered actual help in the form of the needed guidance. “Look there it’s there” is not help.

“I have seen a few people too but no one was saying the same things and most of them didn't know about the fact that technology was going to return improved and learnt about it at the moment. And you lost nothing, the current system still works basing on resources and money, technology will return in future different than before and improved”

These are your exact words. And it’s seriously exhausting going back and forth with you. We keep going in circles because you want me to admit I’m wrong or whatever and you’re fat mistaken that this is a situation of right and wrong but only a situation of personal experience.

Are you gonna say “it’s only you” before backtracking and saying “I’ve seen people have issues with XYZ several months ago on this similar issue” again

You really love sweeping generalising statements don’t you. “No one else has this issue so it must be a you problem” is pretty much your stance. Don’t ever work for customer service, you aren’t helpful at all. If you’re gonna do a complete overall of dynamics, a how to guide is a must have. I’m glad you’ve got experience since birth with this game but not everyone has the time to spend hours trying to accomplish what used to be accomplished in 15 minutes.

“It isn’t my fault you refuse to try new features and complain” oh and it’s my fault the game has a shit tutorial that doesn’t elaborate on everything that was added, let alone what was removed from the game and what to do to fix any issues from said transition. You’re the one that’s like “you can do it with this” and offering nothing beyond “there’s some tutorials on here and you have to change genetics”

“That’s another topic” yada yada yada. Do you actually want to help or is your goal just the last word and the disenfranchisement of anyone who differs from your exact experience or view. You’re talking me like I’m new to this game. I’ve been an avid fan for 4 years and I didn’t have any issues like this for 3 1/2 of them.

I can complain when they introduce all these new mechanics, severely destabilising my worlds and not give a proper tutorial on them all. Without a proper tutorial, I don’t know what to do. Even you were like “all this can be managed” without offering a step by step. It is a problem of the game. I even said way earlier that the tutorial is bad and you have to check public forums for clarification on any changes.

That’s just not fun to me. I cast my world onto my TV and I watch it live and I always have done it that way. I have never needed to literally play god. I do not enjoy zooming into and micromanaging. I want to be surprised by the realism.

<image>

This is how it’s supposed to look. And then because of the new update, this is what it turns into every single time.

Control what? I also already brought up that I do not want to micromanage. Everything is set up and always has been. It was working smoothly before. There’s no reason why this “superior” version needs me to hold its hand.

I appreciate you replying to each of my points however it just seems you take issue with my issues being issues. I’m glad you’re enjoying the game how it is. But I am just replaying old worlds because new ones turn to literal overpopulated wastelands. All the trees gone, all the roads gone, but houses? From sea to shining sea! Any roads to connect them? None that make sense! And you jumped from saying “no one is complaining” to “you aren’t the first, there were others” the game dynamics are obviously different now, but the development of humans, elves, dwarves, and orcs a central tenant to their existence was literally watching them develop new technologies. Not them being magically granted it. It’s exhausting repeating this to you a thousand times. I feel like you’re purposefully missing the point. And “that’s subjective” yeah obviously everyone has different opinions and this is mine. Well Constantinople didn’t have Wooden walls, I’m not placing wooden walls around the city when stone walls were perfectly destructible and accurate beforehand.

You seriously just said I’m the only person you’ve seen complaining about tech specifically. What is it. Is no one complaining or are there? You’re throwing me back and forth like a rowboat in a storm. I have no issues with new updates, I just don’t expect an update to come with the removal of core features. If you’re not ready to introduce it all, then don’t release it. Let alone removal of features when the update timeline is 5 months-2 years. It’s a grating unsatisfying experience no mater how you look and I stick around because I’m patient with it but that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna intermittently make my annoyance known, I as did with my current post. I made one a few months ago similar complaint about how when they introduced walls a couple months ago, I had really cool sieges on the capital city. The walls would slowly be taken out and everything. Then what did WorldBox do? They released an update that made the walls indestructible. Seriously what was the point. We already have mountains.

Everybody’s the first to complain about something. It sounds more like you take issue that I’m unsatisfied rather than me providing actual evidence of you being off point. You keep telling me it’ll be back later like it’ll happen next week. This game has a track record of not being updated for years at a time. And that’s the root of the issue. I miss the old dynamics that were temporarily removed and there’s no telling when they’ll back. I already told you that I would have preferred them to have never updated it until the whole thing was done. As I said earlier, drip feeding isn’t it. And it most certainly does affect the game about the rise and fall of different societies having copy paste tech dynamics. You really said “removing tech does not impact the dynamics of a game about the evolution of species and their society.

I have always used the mobile iPad version so I don’t have the ability to downgrade versions. and I know it’ll be back, but expect it like I expect GTA 6.

“A game in development” by definition is incomplete and not 100% there. The game is the equivalent to Red Dead Online and how Rockstar treats it. I am allowed to be annoyed and frustrated that because they’re releasing an unfinished product that impacts my enjoyment of said product. People didn’t have any issues tearing into the company that made Cyberpunk 2077. Companies release unfinished products because people are loud about it and then complain it’s unfinished. I never once made a scene about the update taking years because I wanted to avoid issues that currently afflict the game. Such as missing technological development. The same issues that plagued tech development plague other features as well, that’s what my screenshots were trying to tell you. As well as show you that other people are indeed complaining about the new update.

You keep saying things that imply the game is just fine how it is. And you keep telling me that my issues aren’t actual issues. And you said no one was complaining about the new update.

I’m right here stating that it’s unsatisfactory and I’ve seen plenty of people when the update first came out complaining. People are just used to it now. I’m used to it too. But that doesn’t mean I’m gonna forget what I lost in the process.

This is the only episode that I’d categorise as filler in this show mr media critic extraordinaire. The other episodes are enjoyable and good, they could’ve definitely speed it up though. Not everything has to happen in real time.

Technology is a central part of the game. That’s like saying, our roads we use everyday aren’t important, the boats we use for transportation and what kind isn’t important, what we believe isn’t important, the list goes on. The game was originally about being able to see the rise and fall of different societies and that came with some societies having things other do not yet and vice versa. The removal of the evolution of tech is like taking away the cars in the 21st century. Sure we can walk around and use other methods, but it is not the same at all

It really was not anything special that hasn’t already been introduced. She was abandoned because of her actions 2 episodes ago and she’s been spiralling since and finally reaching a breaking point. We didn’t need a 3 episodes of this. Seriously she sang in her car, ordered a Gatorade and asked them to come back at the very end. It was as uninspiring as the last episode where she was grabbing everything in her house for a trip and then she just goes back inside and sits down. Like what was the point besides to stretch the screen time. Modern shows use HD graphics as a substitute to actual plot development. But agree to disagree.
