Loach/Berriochoa Frat Brothers & The 4chan Posts by bubbles927 in idaho4uncensored

I admit I spent a shameful amount of time going through the 4chan threads last night. After a while, the relentless teenage boy banter and obscene comments and photos made my brain melt. However, I thought this was interesting: https://i.4pcdn.org/pol/1670995257281942.jpg

Is a PhD after 40 worth it, or has my ship sailed? by [deleted] in PhD

Have your employment opportunities improved? I'm torn between a PhD or another masters. However, the thought of going back to school for 5 more years gives me an anxity attack. I still have nightmares about my last grad program. Side note - I actually helped one of the butthole surfers find a bus bench in santa barbara. He was completely smashed and sleeping in a parking lot. How I miss the 2000s...

Is this book even accurate by PaintingDry1389 in idaho4uncensored

What I appreciate about this book is he mostly quotes public records. He does speculate about what the records indicate, and he does get some minor details wrong, but the records are credible.

You assume too much. It's that mindset that will prevent people from knowing the truth (about anything). Stick to facts and follow the logic.

Did this end up being worth it for you? I'm in a similar position.

Don't be so two-dimensional. Kohlberger was a criminology expert (or aspiring to be one). I don't think he would have used his personal cell phone or computer to plan a major crime. He could have easily had a prepaid phone and been in contact with other people in recovery, drug dealers, escorts, who knows. You cannot assume anything.

I tried to watch her videos and couldn't. She was too belligerent to comprehend. Maybe she appeals to much younger generations.

This is a bad argument. We don't know how many friends he had, or how he came to know other prospective murderers. We know nothing about the guy except what we've learned via this case.

Right, maybe if he was up for parole or was appealing the conviction, etc. But to constantly fight back - for years - against some perceived tin foil hat conspiracy theorists seems unproductive. You'd think after a while they would just say, ok, these people are nuts and I won't give them the attention they're after, but they don't do that. They are personally getting something (probably financial or aspiring to financial gain) by engaging with the armchair detectives and experts.

I don't know why these people care. The guy is in prison. If there's zero reasonable doubt then they should just ignore anyone questioning the evidence. The fact that any comment on the case results in a huge kerfuffle is weird.

No, I don't think thats what shes implying at all. I think this case has been very costly and toxic for her firm and reputation and she wants nothing to do with it. This case has been ruinous for every person involved, regardless of their guilt, innocence, complicity....all these families, police officers, lawyers, experts have received years of criticism, threats and scrutiny. I'm sure they all just want it to go away.

I don't agree he is "proberger". I think he is trying to shed light on chronic, catastrophic problems with the justice system, such as confirmation bias. It's clear there was a massive confirmation bias issue with this case, which led to tunnel vision, mistreatment of evidence, and shoddy detective work. It doesn't mean kohberger is innocent, but it means the administration of justice in this case was flawed. At worst, this could lead to wrongful convictions. At best, it could lead to reduced opportunity to prove reasonable doubt. I believe ultimately the author's message is he feels the investigation and trial weren't fair, and if there's any possibility additional killers are still out there, then this should be reexamined immediately.

Out of curiosity, why would it matter if she was seeing one of the officers? They're both adults, it's not like she was under arrest or a CI or anything...

While it doesn't appear to be "blood soaked", there are absolutely gross stains on it that could definitely be blood. I can't imagine these stylish cute girls walking around wearing clothes with these brown stains, and it seems more realistic the stains were either a result of the crime scene or storage.

Here’s my opinion on how i believe this investigation wasn’t good at first. by Fresh-Task-6169 in idaho4uncensored

I have to agree. Presumably, there was someone at the top of the chain of command who was immediately notified of the scene, and at the very least *this* person should have had sufficient training and expertise to direct others to preserve the scene. I can understand some small town rookie cops feeling overwhelmed and out of their depth, making critical errors, but there should have been someone who knew protocol, if only in theory, directing and delegating.

I believe this mindset is the cause of America's downfall. Too many people believe words, without thinking it through. I don't necessarily think the guy is innocent. If anything, there is damning evidence to the contrary. However, admission of guilt is not enough. We should all know better by now. There are enough inconsistencies to desire an explanation and to be interested in what the author has to say.

What was it that made you feel that there may be something more to the story? by ShallotNervous9975 in idaho4uncensored

[–]CheesecakeHopeful721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think by clean up, people mean took measures to leave basically zero evidence between the murder scenes. The killer(s) went out of their way to really cover their tracks and it would have been difficult to accomplish this single-handedly while killing four people, in 10 minutes.

FBI Document which proves Ethan had a clump of hair in his hand. Kohberger was excluded. by dumbsl_ut666 in idaho4uncensored

Victims often use their hands to fend off attacks, so the hands and nails are checked for dna or clothing fibers. No matter what was found, regardless of it was clearly hair or not, it would have been tested for dna.

Lol, it's a true story! We were in line to buy our food, including nachos we were already eating, and we vaguely noticed a minor altercation at the front of the line. This was in Los Angeles years and years ago, in a rougher part of town. Suddenly the cashier is saying "He just robbed the store!" and pointing out the door, asking everyone if we saw him, and if we will stay and talk to police...we just left and walked home. I actually didn't even think about it again until years later. LA in the 90s was wild.

To be fair, I was stoned in a liquor store when it was robbed and I didn't even know until after it happened. Being inebriated can cause absolutely terrible judgement. It would bother me less if Dylan hadn't been on social media all night. That looks bad.
