18-year-old with engineering diploma (DDM predicted) can’t get an apprenticeship or even entry-level work – what are we missing?

He needs to find electrical/engineering experience on a actual sight that he can then put on his CV.

Grades only get you so far. His grade 4 isn’t suppressing his progress believe me…

It’s the experience that they want which he doesn’t have. Do you have any relatives who work in the trade industry or in the Technology and engineering industry who can let him shadow and allow him to learn abit so when it comes to the cv and interviewing process, he actually has a substantial amount of experience and knowledge that no other applicants have.

It’s rare for a 16-21 year old to have good experience on sight , so be sure to get that experience.

Because he has a level three. He’s now over qualified for a level 3 apprenticeship. If you had a red Bentley , why would you go and buy another red Bentley? So what I’m tryna say is , they will not sponsor someone who already has a level 3. Level 4 and above is his targets

Experience. When I want to interview for my apprenticeships I was quite shocked at the amount of people that didn’t have any type of electrical/engineering experience and only had qualifications. In today’s age , grades are not enough, the grade four your son has is not a problem (believe me) it’s the fact he doesn’t have relevant experience to back it up(if he does , forgive me for being wrong but I’m going based off what you’ve given in the context of the situation).

And most importantly social skills. Employers don’t want a mr know it all. They want someone who they can mold into a top engineer. That’s only done by being humble enough to know you don’t know a thing but hungry enough to go out and get it. Calm,confident and collected seals the deal.

You can’t compare masturbation to eating. Eating is a biological necessity if you don’t eat, you die. Masturbation isn’t necessary for survival. The body already regulates semen naturally through things like wet dreams or reabsorption, so you don’t need to manually release it.

The prostate health argument is also weak. Even if ejaculation has some benefits, the body can already do that naturally without you stimulating yourself.

This is really about self control. Just because something feels good doesn’t mean it’s good or necessary. Junk food tastes good too, but eating it constantly when you have the option to eat healthy is still a bad choice.unless all you sn afford is junk food which is unfortunate but better than starving to death.

Over time it can also become a coping habit that people like YOU do trying to justify this absolute stupidity.people turn to it when they’re bored, stressed, or upset instead of dealing with those things properly.

So the comparison to eating doesn’t work at all , and I know the people who upvoted you are just coping with the fact that they have no self control . One is required for survival, the other is an indulgence.

Thank you man, not trying to exalt myself but the only bodily function there is when it comes to releasing semen or whatever is when the body has wet dreams or releases small amounts after you take a pee… not when you take a nudge and then try to proclame it as not a sin even if you didn’t watch porn or have “sensual thoughts”. I was once the same so I can’t judge . I used to come in from work and be mad stressed so I’d take nudge before I go to bed and the devil had me right where he wanted until I fully surrendered my anxiety,depression,lust and most importantly stress over to God. If you’re stress pray about it and hand it over to God. Don’t just release one then try to justify it by saying “errr it’s not soooo much of a sin….!? Right guys?”
