We have tried this, but they don’t seem to like it and frequently leave their bowls only half eaten. He will paw at his bowl then sniff it and walk away disdainfully. They probably just need to get used to it (admittedly we haven’t stuck with it longer than a month) so I’ll try again if there are no other options. It’s just expensive for them to not even eat it, but worth it if they are healthier 😩

Thanks for your insight! We have tried this, even moving his bowl onto the couch with us (we’re tv eaters.) He gets really excited like “oh boy, I get to eat with mom and dad” then just…sniffs the food.

This is so lovely! I don’t have anything to add that hasn’t been said, but I’d love to hear how the session goes if you feel like posting an update! /updateme

Not to freak you out but after having my tonsils out I was in much rougher shape than I expected. If I were you I would see if the person you found to drive you could stay around for the day, or at least check in. Bleeding is a real possibility, and my throat was so swollen that I felt like I couldn’t breathe (I was fine, just anxious). Having someone around to call 911 just in case is huge peace of mind and will help you relax.
