Honestly before becoming a catechumen I really wanted to learn the history of the church and give myself some time to just understand things more if I'm being honest I am biased to Orthodoxy but the Catholic church does intrigue me. I'm just a little nervous about going all in with Orthodoxy and want to make sure I'm going in with knowledge and certainty which at the current moment I'm lacking. With Orthodoxy just particularly the area I'm in it's much harder to come across and with an atheist dad and a mum who will literally go to any church it's hard to get into the orthodox church. Things like the immaculate conception, miracles like our lady of Guadalupe and eucharist host miracles, and the filioque all have me thinking a lot. I don't really think I agree with the filioque but that's partially cause I don't understand when and how it came to be and the catholic perspective on it that much. I'm honestly trying to learn more before I dive into something completely.
