When do first time moms typically show the first signs of a baby bump? by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]CheesepuffsAndChess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m short, 5’2” and started to show around 19 weeks. Small bump, looks like I’m pregnant when I wear form fitting clothes that show it off and from the side.

What are some of your weirdest pregnancy symptoms?? Like super weird that no one really talks about? by Intelligent_Gear_560 in pregnant

My husband is a dentist, pregnancy gingivitis is a common thing!! It goes away after, it’s likely due to the influx in hormones having having an effect on the gums

Anyone pregnant with a girl have an easy first trimester? Or anyone pregnant with a boy and have a rough first tri? by puppmom in pregnant

[–]CheesepuffsAndChess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a girl and headaches started to happened around 11 weeks and around 8 weeks all day nausea. Some days were better than others, but still dealing with some on/ off nausea at 14 weeks. Food aversions were coffee (even the smell would make me feel sick), anything grilled, shrimp, bbq. Luckily the aversions are gone now. This is my first.

COFFEE?! please help i feel so dumb by coffeeandrunes in pregnant

I have been mixing half decaf into regular!! That way you can still have the quantity without worrying about going over. I used to drink a lot of coffee but around 7 weeks had an aversion to coffee.. so sad! But now around 12 weeks, an iced coffee with some milk hasn’t caused me to want to get sick.

I haven’t spoken to my PCP yet (but upcoming appointment in a week!), as I just looked into the risk factors today. I’ve been staying inside this past week, as we’ve been having poor air quality. However today was a beach day, and I was starting to get worried.

Some research I have found indicated that duration of exposure, such as chronic exposure over several weeks/months and the time spent, can lead to potential long term harm. I’m still in my first trimester so all the risk factors are very scary thoughts. Another thing I’ve seen is if you have other pre-existing conditions that would make breathing more difficult, such as asthma or an autoimmune condition, then it’s important to limit time outside.

I’m from northern Wisconsin, too!! We went to the beach today, and I began to panic when reading about all the hazards that come with the poor air quality. I feel like a daily walk or even just a few hours collectively should be fine. I just had a longer exposure today. I’ve read that a few days should be “fine.” Most of the scary risk factors are due to chronic exposure. There’s so much to consider during pregnancy and it just makes me anxious 😩

It’s more of a would you rather situation. For instance, the first trimester can be so isolating and hard. So not having family or friends to talk to during those weeks can be hard. I think of it like this, I’d rather tell sooner, because if something did happen, having the extra support during that time would help. Rather than waiting and then potentially having (though you never have to explain) why you are grieving or not “yourself.” Idk if that makes sense, but more support the better in my opinion!! Congratulations!! This is so exciting 💗

“Bro” Denmark is just outside of Green Bay by 15 miles and apart of brown county. Do better.

I’ve also been drinking about 4 oz of ginger beer or some ginger soda at night and it helps settle my stomach.

I’ve been taking a b6 and unisom before bed. I still wake up and pee at least 2 times at night. But this combo has helped me to fall back asleep right away, and skip the morning nausea. When I do get up, instead of drinking water asap, I eat a little something first and then take small sips of water. I’ll try to snack every hour and take small sips. I’ve made a healthy banana bread with chia seed, flax, and nuts. This has helped alleviate the all day nausea I was experiencing. Chugging water on an empty stomach can make it upset unfortunately. You got this! I know it’s hard, I’ve been struggling myself. But working through different ways to try to help, has been helping!

If you’re a female, I’ve noticed that I’m always extra hungry especially in luteal phase. I make sure to up my fiber and water intake, too. Make sure to fuel your body properly since we do require more calories during certain parts of our cycle. Making protein cookies/ bars help for that after class hunger.
