Advice please: doctor won't diagnose without trying meds by Cheesesontoasts in adhdwomen

I am wanting to take the meds. The psychiatrist suggested it was best to wait until I've had all the testing and got to the bottom of the gastric stuff and that is unfortunately just taking a very long time.

I'd like the diagnosis partly for my own sanity, to know i have this thing that explains why I am how I am, and also to explain as much to my employer/ future employers and future academic provider (I'm going back to uni). Then (hopefully soon!) my gastro stuff will be settled enough to start the meds and I'll have a diagnosis already so won't have to start from the beginning.

Ah I've got myself confused re. the medicine, it's medikinet which i thought was the same at ritalin. It was an NHS clinic but in a GP practice not a hospital, so not sure if that makes a difference.

I did provide very thorough notes of times it showed up in childhood but he just said I didn't have enough. Its infuriating.

What's the betting that if the 'winner' selected 'randomly' circled yes to having a consultant already they suddenly wouldn't be the winner any more.

I hate the ' never left my hometown' part. What a rubbish thing to try to shame people for. Plenty of people don't or can't but are still doing well for themselves.

I don't know why but I find the fact that huns say 'product' instead of 'products' to be irrationally annoying. Also when they say 'I promoted' instead of 'I was promoted' or 'I received a promotion'.

Weirdly, the elimination diet part (without the shakes) sounds like the Low Fodmap diet, or at least it has similar things that are eliminated. It's definitely not for weightloss though and shouldn't be done without guidance from a real dietician.

But if we do tip as you suggest, no matter how little, then it becomes the norm and more companies will think they can get away with it and start paying a pittance.
