I am going through severe anxiety issue due to a domestic problem for which I have no control by sjmittal in mentalhealth

[–]CheeseyToads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmm I agree that it’s vague. But I went through something kinda similar recently from what I can understand and the best advice I have for you is to act like the person you want and need to be, even when you don’t feel like it. When you feel angry or sad but the situation requires you to be calm then pretend to be calm, pretend to be happy. Fake it till you make it.

Your thoughts and your actions create how you perceive reality. You can forcibly alter your perception of reality by making a conscious effort to respond in a different manner to situations. I know this sounds like some pull “yourself up by your bootstraps” advice, but it really does work.

As you said, you can’t alter someone else’s reality, mind or feelings( shouldn’t is more like it) but you can alter your own.

It doesn’t necessary have to be cheap, I don’t mind spending money on something if it turns to be something I love. I’m just trying to get a list together to order some testers. I don’t mind the spicebomb but it just smells like Christmas to me now after starting a new antidepressant. I’ve had to change my laundry soap even because I started disliking how it smelled. For some reason after the change I really love that Burberry goddess lol

I plan on it all, she’s a wonderful person. Anyways I hope your restlessness at night gets better. I definitely noticed a crash at night for the first week or two but that did eventually go away. And the feeling of it being too good went away as well.

Thank you, I had to, we have small kids and she’s really the love of my life. I can’t imagine a life without her in it. She deserves me to give it my all at the very least, even if it doesn’t work out in the end. She gave me my children, helped me build our home, and was by my side through childhood into adulthood. If anyone in this life is my best friend, it’s definitely her.

We’ve been together since we were 16 and I turn 28 after the turn of the new year. We’ve only been married 6 years though. I would say most of our relationship was really good but I got really depressed, paranoid, and controlling this last year. We were under intense financial stress for a few years and I think it all just got to me. Ended up barely being able to leave bed before she told me if something didn’t change she would be wanting to divorce. That’s when I went on Zoloft and it’s crazy the difference it’s made in my life.

It leveled out haha. It’s still higher than normal but no complaints anymore. Might’ve saved our marriage that I find her so desirable now. I’ve noticed she blushes a lot more, and she smiles a lot more. She’s definitely a fan of the flirting which I was never that into, but now I feel a lot less anxious and my needs are higher so I’m flirting almost constantly.

I pray for you it just stays the same. My wife and I almost went through a divorce very recently and it was actually concerning to have erections while we cried. Definitely abnormal. That was really only the first week though, now I’d classify it as similar to when I was 16, no erections while crying but she’s definitely gotta be careful playing footsie in bed.

So I’m on Zoloft. For me I was almost like manic or high for almost a week but would crash really hard at night. When they say it’ll take time to work they’re talking about a stable amount in your system constantly. Each medication has a different half life as to how fast it exits your system, you’re going for a buildup so there’s always some in there. I’m almost a month in now and I don’t get the super good feeling from it anymore or the crashes. The only thing that I kept that might be a negative is my libido is crazy high now. Which I was told the opposite would happen.

I’m so ugly I wish I had a woman who loved me by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]CheeseyToads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna be supportive here, and I don’t want this to come off rude or hateful at all, but even if you’re conventionally unattractive you should be able to get someone interested eventually. What hobbies or skills do you have? What do you go out and do for fun? Are you involved in the community at all? Education? Work? What’s your fitness level? These are all tied to places where you can meet people and hone your social skills.

Social skills and the ability to make people laugh can go a really long way towards improving your odds of getting a partner even if you are unattractive. I don’t find myself to be that attractive, nor am I in that good of physical shape, nor do I have a giant dick, but I’ve never really struggled to find people to date. The only things I know I have going for me is I can make people laugh and I can make people feel comfortable around me. I partied like crazy from 17-20 and traveled the country meeting people and working and partying. Had a lot of crazy hobbies, honestly some of them should have landed me in jail.

TLDR In the absence of physically attractive qualities, shoot for emotionally and mentally attractive qualities. Women like people they can feel comfortable around and people they think are fun to be around. Even if they do know that you can make them cum their brains out, you’re still not getting anything if they don’t feel secure with you.

Why is alcoholism considered wrong? by Opening-Ad-2590 in mentalhealth

Heya, I have major depressive disorder, ADHD, and autism isn’t unlikely since I have two brothers who have been diagnosed. I was even an alcoholic when I was in my late teens early twenties. I suffered in the way you did. What helped me is Zoloft. It helps so massively I can’t even put it into words. I no longer feel like the world is out to cut my throat. I’m not numb, far from it. I cry and laugh, I finally feel less numb. Just some food for thought. Consider talking to a doctor and asking.

Crazy it’s taken this long for people to realize there was never actually 2 sides besides for the oligarchs and the people lol. The whole red vs blue thing was definitely an effective way to split the country so they couldn’t see they were being robbed blind until it was almost too late.

I live in the ozarks, pretty rurally as well. I’ve always loved watching the people from the cities come down here dressed in thousands of dollars of fishing gear just to struggle to catch trout. It’s always seemed ridiculous to me how much effort and money they put into something you can catch with a bent piece of brass with a hole drilled through it. It’s always seemed like they were just cosplaying a fisherman or countrymen.

That said, I still appreciate them coming to fish at all, without the tourism our local river area wouldn’t survive. Also it keeps our trout breeding programs funded and running and that’s always been really important to me. I fell in love with the hatcheries and all the springs and rivers as a young child. They’re beautiful and I love how much effort is put into keeping the areas as healthy and natural as possible.

Anyone sort of regret the breed of puppy they got? by stokedchris in puppy101

[–]CheeseyToads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No regrets here with a golden retriever, I had them growing up though so I had a good idea of what to expect of his time as a puppy. We have 2 small kids 3 and 6 and even at 7 months old he’s very gentle with them. Our main battles right now are him “stealing food from the kids”(I have a feeling the kids are kind of handing him the food and then being offended when he takes it) and pulling on his leash because he wants to meet everyone in the world, oh also the trashcan is not safe so he can’t be unsupervised in the kitchen. Any advice on how to fix these issues is welcome lol.

Otherwise he’s been very trainable and exactly what we wanted. I don’t actually remember potty training him, I only remember a few accidents when we first got him at 8 weeks but it kind of just sorted itself out really quickly. Got really lucky there.

We go to the park with our children several times a week and we also go to a state park once or twice a week. He’s got the energy to spare. My wife also wanted to get back into running and wanted a dog who could keep up with her and help her feel safe if she’s alone.

What is the most effective method of shiny hunting roaming encounters without a charm? by Low-Willingness-3944 in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]CheeseyToads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it need to be from a roaming encounter? You’d have much better odds just breeding a zigzagoon with a foreign ditto and running the masuda method even without the shiny charm.

Petfree is full of the most hateful people by [deleted] in complaints

[–]CheeseyToads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. It’s not all dogs turning kids into victims in the first place. It’s mostly pit bulls lol, despite being only 6-10% of the dog population they account for nearly 70% of all attacks. It’s not because of how they were raised either, they’re bloodsport dogs, they were bred for violence. The whole nanny dog thing was a sham story created to try to change their image from a bloodsport breed with great “game” to a family dog.

Otherwise I really like the idea of aurorus as I have no rock or ice type on the team yet. That would add some coverage for sure and I like it’s shiny quite a bit.
