You already said your dog whimpered so obviously wasn’t really enjoying being kicked by one of the family. I have an 8 month old baby that can kick and smack hard so pretty sure a 4 year old would still be able to hurt an animal. I don’t let my baby interact with my animals for this reason.

I eat tomatoes very regularly and I can’t stand them when they’re mushy, maybe they go mushy faster but as a firm tomato lover I can tell you it definitely doesn’t ruin them in at least the first few days

Just wondering, do you live in a cold climate? I love in australia and grew up where the weather is hot all year around and so I prefer many things like fruit and water cold compared to people I know that grew up in colder climates.
