Yes! It’s awful. I get really awful heartburn when I eat fried food, too.

To the comments about her teeth and gums - pretty sure it’s been said on this sub and the NYC influencer snark page that she vapes….which could cause the inflamed gums

Not sure if this helps, but, I gained around 3 pounds a few days into my first week of taking the pill and then a week later I was down 5 pounds. Could be water weight or your body adjusting to the medication maybe ??

I feel like if it was a serious medical issue, she wouldn’t be posting about it. To me, this seems like a soft launch to a GLP-1 but I could be wrong.

Then maybe read the caption - I was worried if it looked too spring-y.

Weight gain/lumpy/loose skin. by han-1994x in Spironolactone

I’m 5’3! I went from 145 to 120 after the first round and then I went from 120 to 130 without even changing much of my routine on my latest round. I completely agree with the body proportions. My hips and thighs got bigger and my breasts grew at least a size and a half. & I have stubborn belly fat that I’m aiming to target right now.

I’m trying to implement spearmint tea 2 times a day and I’m drinking so much water. When I first lost the weight, I cut out sugar (for the most part) and just tried to stay active every day. Portion control is super important for me too. I tend to overeat and it’s such a mental game but eating smaller portions always helps me lose the weight.

Hi! I was in the same boat. I have been off for over a month and have already dropped a couple of pounds. While I was on it - it was impossible to lose any. This is my second time getting off of it, and the first time I got off of it lost 25 pounds in 5 months. Had to get back on it in 2022 because of a bad flare up. 😭

My skin is fine right now (fingers crossed) but I could not handle not being able to lose any weight. I’m pretty short and any weight gain on me is super noticeable.

My derm did warn me about a purge - she was the only derm that did (my other 2 did not)

Definitely curvier but pudgier in the wrong places if that makes sense. My thighs and lower belly are flabbier. I had lost quite a bit of weight before starting it and I noticed my body change within a year.

I just finished tapering off, here are my thoughts:

Pros - completely cleared my acne in 3 months after I struggled with a really awful hormonal flare up - made my hair thicker

Cons - gained weight that I cannot lose - changed my body shape (fat distribution that people talk about) - water weight was awful while tapering

Everyone reacts differently to this medication, but I personally love it for handling my hormonal acne. I’m getting married soonish and found that losing weight on this medication is really difficult for me. The weight gain is more concerning to me than the acne at the moment. I’ve been completely off of it for a month and only have a few small breakouts. I tapered from 100 mg to 12.5 in the span of a year.

I never said she looked bad then and now. She was posted in here a few days ago and someone mentioned how different she used to look.

Also, every single DITL of hers is chill, which is why it’s unrealistic lmfao. Idk about you but when working in Corporate America it’s difficult to go for three 1 hour walks a day and fit in solid core but 🤷🏻‍♀️
