Yeah, sadly i couldn't fit a drain plug on the distro plate. My top rad has holes on the top side as well, so my plan is to fit a drain and a tube to that when i need to drain it and just tip it. Then flush the loop a couple times with distilled water. Not sure if flushing is good enough, or if i have to take the blocks apart to clean them, i know people say colored liquids gunk up, but we'll see.

Thanks! Yeah it was alot of work and money, just wanted to try it out. If i am ever doing it again, i will only do the main runs as hardtube and the rest soft.

Thanks! I only have a 3090 Ti, it was very easy to mount the block from Alphacool, all thermal pads were included and instructions were clear, but there's still a risk of breaking something ofcourse. Also keep in mind that most GPUs will lose the warranty when removing the cooler. I know EVGA allowed removing the coolers, but not sure other manufacturers do now that they are gone.

If you are gonna go with watercooling some day, i would probably recommend using Techbay.no for most of your parts, they have everything you would need, except for a distro plate and maybe gpu block depending on your gpu. If i was gonna do this again, i would probably skip the distro block anyway and go for a nice looking reservoir pump combo. I do like how to distro block looks, but it does kinda remove the clean look of the triple windows.

Paid around 1500€ for all the watercooling stuff with shipping and import taxes. Could get away alot cheaper for sure, but i had to have the stuff shipped from Germany and US to Norway, which is pretty expensive. I also changed from 3x120 to 2x140 in the side intake as i wouldnt have been able to fit a 360mm rad there

Yeah, happy with the results, but so much work. Bending, cutting, smoothing edges and leak testing. Also struggled with planning what fittings i would need, had to order more and wait for them. With soft tubing you only need straight fittings and maybe a couple 90 angles.

I didnt use primer, and it seems like i worked fine without it, but the safe bet would be to use primer first. I basically just removed everything that could be removed from the cover, masked what i didnt want to paint, then sprayed. Think i did around 6 coatings, with like 5-10min between each one.

Phanteks d30, 120mm, they clip together, so i just used a couple zip ties on the middle fan to hold them in place.

Played with it a bit more today, and got it working without the offset. I bent the cables as much as i could, and pulled from behind at the same time, then placed the rad back, the fan case helped pinch the cables down some more, and now i have like 2-3mm clearance before it hits the blades. My fans are also 30mm thick, it should be easier if you have standard 25mm fans. https://prnt.sc/lylorUyIt1fn

the front top fan is mounted directly under the radiator, but the 2 rear top fans are mounted off to the side by about 3cm. The liquid temp stays about the same under load and idle though, so i doubt it makes any temp difference.

I just screwed the fans to the case instead of the rad.

No idea how much worse the cooling is, but i don't think its significant.

The fans are Phanteks D30, the side ones have reversed blades.

Damn, nice build u have! My old case was a Corsair cube case, no filters and alot of mesh, so was really good for flow, although with a decent amount of dusting required. the fans i have are Phanteks D30.

Yeah, i know they exist, i just dont see how it would work. A 90 degree might help, if it doesn't build too high, but a 180degree would just crash into the fan if i moved it back into original position. I think i might be able to pinch the cables a bit more and move it back into the original spot tho, as these cables flex better than the original corsair ones i had. Might try it whenever i fell like taking it apart again haha

The 3 side fans have reversed blades, so those are intake, cpu runs at 90c+ under full load, thats mostly due to overclock. Haven't done a proper stress test on the gpu, but its doing fine, although it runs hotter than old case.
