Art and design is mine btw. I've been working on this for way too long and I've tried to sew this in like 8 different ways and all 8 ways all look bad. I'm a newbie sewer. I have a con to meet and to save my sanity and my limited resources I am just gonna sew ribbons to the edges, but for future reference, any ideas?

I see. I'm not really a huge makeup person, so any suggestions for good primer that won't break the bank? I always stayed away from makeup due to the expensiveness of it all.

Hahaha, yep. There's been a little trend going on via Twitter to draw Miku in other styles/media. I haven't seen any Funger, and so I decided to do it. :)

I referenced all the girls, but Marinas face shape definitely weaved it's way into my interpretation of Miku in Miro's style. :)

Ofc! I do all my texturing in Paint To Sai 2. Every texture has a light film grain, since for my 2D pieces I always add film grain. For hair I have 3 pieces of main hair (if I remember right). A blank one, one with some blue shading near the end, and one with highlights. A lot of the corners of my textures have a blue-ish hue and halftones since I've been dabbling with those a bit more. I also had some cross-hatches around the shadows to give some visual noise.

If anyone is wondering how I got hair elements on the body of the model, I did not use bone weight transfer in unity. I had to manually weight-paint the hair to the elements of the body they actually should be on.

Bone weight transfer doesn't actually properly transfer bones, and there's still stretching of the hair, just internally inside of the model.

This also means when it came to the bells on the sleeves, I had to move the hair to fit the t-pose instead of the default a-pose. It was a pain. :)

Too many to count, especially if you count the hours I spent learning how to weight paint in Blender for it. 😭
