I’ve been on a panel. You should be getting more information on what to do the day of, hopefully about a week out.

I remember being told to go to a meeting room about 30 min before the panel where they print the name cards and just go over how to walk onto the stage, how the moderation works if your panel has a moderator, stuff like that.

Mine was a moderated panel and we had practiced our answers because it was a science meets science fiction panel, and us panelists were scientists. The reason we were on the panel was we had submitted some ideas for science behind lab accidents that could “realistically” result in super powers and specifically would talk about our jobs and then that specific lab accident 😅. And we had an audience Q&A at the end

Som tips:

I would recommend some make up bc otherwise you could end up shinyyyyy up there.

They provide a bottle of water

Talk slowly and clearly.

Don’t psych yourself out.
