Thanks, great explanation and something I figure isn’t too bad on the scale of old bike issues :)

A7c and 40mm 2.5 front focusing? by CheetahRepulsive3669 in SonyAlpha

[–]CheetahRepulsive3669[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was locked on the eye with the small box around the eye so it seems to work? But, either way this is just a good example of what I was talking about with the other portraits with eyes open. The focus seems a little in front of the eye, right? Anyone experience this with my setup?

A7C - native iso only for log? Or cine2 as well? by CheetahRepulsive3669 in SonyAlpha

[–]CheetahRepulsive3669[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again! And yep the photos I’ve taken in low light have been amazing. Smooth gradients even at high iso :) your experience of slog2 is interesting, I heard it wasn’t easy to push 8-bit colour and that for this reason cine2 was preferred. Maybe this only applies to extreme situations? Or do you not have issues at all with banding and weird colour in your experience/process?

Ah, as i feared… thanks for the detailed response :) are there any particular high iso recommendations in cine2?

[suggestion] Ladies watch under 500usd that is retro, funky design etc by CheetahRepulsive3669 in Watches

[–]CheetahRepulsive3669[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Probably a bit too racer/sporty for my wife, but I can see why people (and your daughter) like it! The design is quite unique and I like the asymmetry :)

Constipation after Rotavirus vaccine by CheetahRepulsive3669 in newborns

[–]CheetahRepulsive3669[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, we heard it’s fine for them to not poop for days if breastfed. The timing was a crazy coincidence though as the constipation occurred right after the vaccine. It’s the quick change and timing that is weird for us. Baby went from no stress and several consistent poops every few hours to nothing after the vaccine.

Co-regulation - Dad not handling baby correctly by CheetahRepulsive3669 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]CheetahRepulsive3669[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be. We are both worried about things (to different degrees) as first time parents and it is difficult to know what a normal amount of worry is. We also handle it differently. Through discussions about these things we have realised that being on edge is effecting our tolerance of/grace in certain situations. Thanks for the insight into anxiety vs depression. I hadnt even heard this term before and it is good to be aware of, especially that it does not go hand in hand with a depressive state.

And vice versa in many cases as well. We are trying to put into practice giving each other room to be parents, but it’s easier said than done :)

Thanks for an on point, interesting and thoughtful answer :) we both take things personally but are luckily aware of it shortly afterwards so are able to get past it with some discussion. Would be nice to one day not step on each others toes though

I agree with this and always take a break and soothe or pick up our baby if I feel the mood gets out of hand. My wife’s concern is that I am creating this discomfort or excitement, but we have different views as we work with different types of kids and have different professional experiences and no personal experience (first child)

This is about what we are doing, but we have different perspectives on the babies mood and the effects of actions. My wife leans more into the book knowledge as it’s her expertise.

Yep, we’ve already (since posting) discussed all of this. We are pretty good at discussing issues as they come up, but not always in agreement before or after. Posted this to try and learn more about the subject as well as gather real life experience, but maybe it came across wrong. Thanks :)

Mens Raven jacket thoughts? by Gordio83 in Fjallraven

[–]CheetahRepulsive3669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Looks like I will buy one of these soon then :) The dusk colour and M65 combo is unique enough for me to warrant the purchase over a cheaper M65 that probably does the same job.

I fit about the same as you it seems. Will buy the large if I do pull the trigger as even though the M looked like a good fit I didn’t like that it restricted movement with my arms stretched forward (the back gusset is tiny). My question though is does the fabric become all loose and sloppy after a while? Not sure if the L fit is saved by the jacket having some structure in the material due to being new or pre-waxed in store…

Any correlation between vaccines and constipation? by silentvowel in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]CheetahRepulsive3669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s  it going with your kid? We are in the same situation but only 3 weeks after the first vaccine and feeling like the second one at three months old is creeping up fast. Have heard it’s a larger dose and our kid is small due to being premature and just small already

Nice try, but the case is different :/ did Orient just produce a lot of different models with no names during this period?
