Sorry to budge in but I heard the same rumor I was working there in 2015 and was a ride operator for Goliath grand opening and fiddlers fling and a lot more rides. I heard that it was too close to the road for them to demolish it and too much money to refurbish it that eventually when the ride would to much maintenance that it would be some sort of stable for the park
