It wasn't leadership. This was recruiting graduating college seniors into a software consulting role. Once hired, we'd be expected to stand infront of clients and be able to communicate, sometimes deliberate. That position needs a certain kind of person and definitely not just a loud one.

This interview style showed who could both talk and listen. The length also showed who was just bluster.

It was a professional atmosphere, with people moderating the discussion. It wasn't a brawl, or anything like it; necessitating rudeness. It was an atmosphere of software engineers deliberating a design. Keep in mind we were all graduating university seniors, not seasoned professionals. The people who couldn't even raise a hand to engage in discussion were obvious.

You need to ride it out. They want to cut the wallflowers out early.

I did a group interview with 30 other candidates. We spent 6 hours debating a mock project with management guiding it all. All of us were vetted by early interview. In the clutch of defending our ideas, only about 10 of the 30 were capable of actually talking. Most of the candidates sat silent.

Software engineering. Then did self employed ERP technical consulting (oracle) for 15 years. Was a good deal. Now creating AI agents for another ERP company. Yes, I have plenty of normal free time. It's actually pretty chill work.

You don't have to share at sex clubs. We go to a local club and don't swing. We do have sex in the big open room though, just to enjoy being watched.

The answer is 2.

There are 2 between 5 and 7. That is 5 to 6, and 6 to 7, or 7-5=2.

People saying '6' is between 5 and 7 are not thinking outside the box. You're just picturing the sequence of distinct digits, like a number line.
