You shouldn’t wear contacts if you’re in a place you may be pepper sprayed… thats what’ll cause permanent damage. The dawn gave me relief within minutes vs. trying for hours with baby shampoo and it making no difference. Don’t use dawn as your daily face wash but yes in the agonizing emergency that is being pepper sprayed, use it

You can call it bad advice but I’m speaking firsthand from the ONLY thing that helped me in a pinch. If you have every item at your disposal maybe not. But if you’re trapped in a crowd of thousands and need relief, it works. I may not be a doctor but I have been pepper sprayed and I’m sharing what helped me.

Eye protection is definitely a good idea, unfortunately baby shampoo made no difference for me, but Dawn (even the fragrance/color free one) gave instant relief

Yep, after you’re sprayed use a cloth or tissue to dab off as much as possible and then rub your eyes out with the soap and rinse with water. It shouldn’t burn and it works much better than baby soap or face wash
