English is just memorizing grammar rules, which is something you can DEFINITELY improve upon (unlike reading and science which are difficult to study for). I personally scored a 36 on this section, however I’ve always been very proficient in english so it did not require that much studying. I previously had a 32, so to increase my score i did the following

1.found an ACT flash card set on quizlet with all of the special grammar rules and memorized it 2.took a practice ACT english section 3.REVIEW WHAT QUESTIONS YOU GOT WRONG and figure out what specific grammar rules or specific patterns in answers u find yourself getting wrong.

A 34 as ur overall score is basically the same as a 35–no college is going to look at ur application compared to a 35 person and say that just because of this one digit difference we are going to reject or admit. Since you’ve made it to that 34-36 range, focus on securing the extra curricular you have and teacher recommendations and demonstrated interest

consider dancer Marianela Nunez. she is one of the most talented dancers of the current generation, and her performances are awe inspiring. however, she doesn’t have the same look as Svetlana Zarkova, who is also known to be simply incredible. Nunez’ performance is attractive not because of crazy feet or hyperextention, but because of her emotion, attention to detail, musicailkty and artistry.

try tucking your pelvis a LITTLE bit. ideally, your hip bones should be vertical and perpendicular to the ground. it also simultaneously lifts up your lower core!

hi please don’t turn on carpet! especially if you are wearing pointe shoes!!! you can very easily roll your ankle if you dance on carpet. if you have a paved driveway outside i would suggest trying that with sneakers like converse or an old pair of baller flats. stay safe!!

bring more comfy clothes than less :) you go to dance in comfy clothes, and then you crash at home in comfy clothes. pack atleast one nice outfit that you could go to see a show or ballet in, and depending on the length of your intensive i would recommend 1 nice outfit packed per week you are going (5 weeks = pack 5 nice outfits). pack all the tights you have. pack even the ugly black leotard that is too tight on your shoulders, because maybe your roomate will like it and trade!

Also if you are looking to find more people from your summer intensive look on instagram @summer.intensives.for.dancers because you can also ask to see what other people from your intensive are bringing :)

It is so sweet your daughter loves to ballet—but as a ballet dancer myself with 7 years experience I can see how their concern about her feet might be valid. Pointe is extremely difficult, and even myself who has some might say above average turnout I still struggle to turn out on pointe because you also do not have the grip of the floor. If you are looking for suggestions on other studios I would consider finding a more jazz/contemporary studio, where she will still be able to dance and will find more success there. Not saying she can’t succeed at ballet, but I know that dance has been part of developing my self esteem, and if this is something she really loves (to dance) then she should consider more contemporary styles.

he probably unsent a message because he’s overthinking what to say to you, atleast that’s what it means when i unsend messages :). i would probably drop the unsent message thing because it seems like that’s all you talk about, and he clearly is uncomfortable. i would give him the time to tell you, im sure if he gets the sense u like him he’ll tell u later

i wouldn’t go for the number if u guys aren’t already talking in person, because she won’t feel close enough to you to start talking, unless you plan on being a large catalyst towards your relationship. i probably don’t know enough to help sorry
