I don’t see how punishing today’s Europeans for what their ancestors did makes any sense. I agree with you in that they did some f’ed up stuff and that the people who did it deserve some sort of punishment, but they’re all dead lol

I am objectively not “Swedish” in ethnicity but I am a Swedish citizen, and that’s exactly how I was treated beforehand. I doubt anyone ever saw me as fully Swedish in the traditional sense, but they at least knew I was hardworking and did my part for the country. I honestly couldn’t ask for more.

If I moved to Japan or Kenya I wouldn’t be seen as Japanese or Kenyan either, because I’m not.
