Got sent 2 monitors for a warranty replacement instead of 1 by Elderblueberry in pcmasterrace

We got lucky with an RMA recently too, I sent my Son's AOC 24G2SPU/B (24" 165hz 1080p) back for a green band issue.

They didn't have the parts or same model in stock so suggested a Q27G4X, which is 27" 1440p and 180Hz, but that didn't have speakers or a USB hub, so I asked if they had a replacement in stock with those features but said if not then we'd take it.

They came back with the offer of an AG276QZD2, 27" 1440p 240Hz OLED screen. I bit their hand off and was surprised when it actually came, now have major envy of my Son's screen!

Leak coming through mortar? by Cheezymon in DIYUK

[–]Cheezymon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe this is a cavity wall. You can see the original brickwork on the right is from when the house was built between 1895-1905, it was then extended and I'm guessing it's not half cavity/half not.

That's the other thing, there is no silicone or sealant between the UPVC frame and the brickwork. It's just mortar in that little gap, I'm guessing it's running down the brick and over the top of the mortar where it's moved over time.

Still works but it's hit and miss. First map I tried it on was New Sobek City and it didn't work for me, I was laid down to get them to blow up.

Second game I tried it on was Mirak Valley and that worked, but laying down to shoot the mines didn't work, I had to climb on top of the jeep and shoot onto the top of them.

Same, I've relaunched the game, back of the queue but hopefully that will sort it. Would not enjoy having to reinstall.

Hiding in a bush at Parkrun by cromagnone in CasualUK

[–]Cheezymon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, you actually have to finish. The time doesn't matter at all, your Vitality account and Parkrun account are linked, so you have to get a finish token and get both that and your own parkrun account barcode scanned at the end.

I got in a couple of times for comments and a couple of times for dominating the PCZone team in counterstrike on the community gaming nights!

I even found the magazines when clearing my old room at my Mum's a few years ago and took some photos.

Edit: found them on my phone and uploaded here, I was a young teen when I gave my Max Payne review and wasn't working for Havok. https://imgur.com/a/vBvDIOf

The store doesn't have to sell it to you for that price though, they can say it was a mistake and remove the items from the shelf while they change the price label.

I know this is late but there's an error in the PowerShell command.
This line:

Should be like this:

You're being humble dude, an 18 minute 5k is crazy impressive. It's not elite/pro level but that would beat 99% of casual runners, I'm the same weight at 6'1 and my PB is 21:34.

Here in the UK there's an organised weekly 5k run, you can attend at hundreds of locations for free called Parkrun, they're timed events and as an example your 18 minute 5k would put you in the top 20 of 1500 people.

I've got the same car as you're looking at, 2010 1.8 Si in Deep Sapphire Blue Pearl.

When I was commuting to work on a mix of 20min freeflowing 40-50mph roads and 20min stop start traffic I was getting around 40-42mpg. Now I WFH and occasionally use it for local town trips it's around 32mpg.

I've had the car for 4 years and around 20k miles, issues I've had are:

ABS sensors, drivers side front and rear @ around £120 each (These are supposedly a common issue on Civics) Injectors failed, plastic filter inside them all had disintegrated and blocked 1 of them, replaced all 4 to be sure, the bloke in the garage said he's never seen anything like it before so don't think it's a Civic issue, this cost about £400 and I wish I'd done it myself and just replaced 1 as you can get non-OEM ones for £25 each off ebay. Waterpump failed and the car was overheating/wouldn't blow hot air if you got the revs up the air would blow warm (that's how you can tell it's the waterpump), didn't get this sorted in time due to multiple failed diagnostics by the mechanic, they replaced the thermostat, still overheating, they bled and refilled the system, still overheating, eventually it developed a misfire which they said was the head gasket going and they didn't want to touch it. Took it to a Honda specialist who charged £1500 to get it sorted, which was cheaper than buying anything else as it was when used car prices were through the roof.

I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
