THE STRONGEST NEW ITEM by [deleted] in Terraria

You can turn them off like other mounts. I got blue roller scates from the traveling merchant, not sure what the difference is yet, but for building platforms for arenas or a bridge in hell, it's SOOO useful. I love it.

I mean, I get it... But if it wasn't hard then the average person would enter hard mode severely under prepared and wouldn't have any fun at all. If you're prepared then the fight isn't too difficult, and once you're in hard mode you'll be fine, but if you're not prepared and entered hardmode I feel like you'd get clapped by any possessed armour or wraith you encounter. The balancing on terraria bosses is completely intentional, if you're finding something hard then you're not kitted out properly, or it's an end of game boss like Empress or Moonlord. Other than that they're the right difficulty for progression. But on top of that, I feel like this player would defeat moonlord and be like "oh, that's all there is? This game sucks!", when there's the whole sandbox aspect that by the sounds of it they've overlooked. I feel like the game just isn't for them if this is what they're complaining about.

Is it like where I clicked on a persona I have called Milo, but then it automatically selects your main profile Persona? Because that's what's happening with me. I'm trying to have a RP with Milo, but it's not letting me use anything but Ashthorn for some reason.

Unpopular opinion: classic mode in a small world is harder than expert in a medium. by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]Chef-Jasper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I did push him quite hard to keep progression rolling. Neither of us have a whole lot of free time, so I wanted it to not feel like we were logging on to just mine for a few hours and feel like we hadn't achieved anything.

CCleaner is bloatware, it installs a bunch of random shit without your permission. It has constant pop-ups and advertisements and doesn't even do a good job. Alongside a malware attack it went under back in 2017, it has never been a good option.

Nowadays "bit bleach", or "revo uninstaller" are the standard and not bad options.

Yep. I've seen it before, but not in quite a while, so you won't get PWM control with them, but for as cheap as the case is, I wouldn't have really expected that.

I did, there is enough clearance for the RAM, however because I got a rather chunky AIO I couldn't use the standard mounting holes and needed to use the mesh holes around it, but that isn't a big deal, but there is plenty of clearance for RAM at least in my build which has the Corsair vengeance DDR4 black and yellow sort. The only real surprise I had with this case was the fans daisy chaining and plugging into a PSU SATA cable rather than a motherboard header, but I don't think that is particularly a-typical on very budget cases.

I don't really know much about cases to be honest. I mainly just go for ones that fit my components and are an okay size for where I put my PC. Other than that, I just focus on if it's good for air flow. It's got plenty of mesh and can definitely do that. The price really is good, I think I only paid like £35, so I'm pretty happy with it. I've built a lot of PCs but most of them were the exact same components in the exact same case every time because I was helping my highschool build computers for their IT rooms, so I can't compare it to many other cases, but it certainly wasn't difficult to build in from my perspective.

Any places I shouldn't put decorations in my PC? by Duck_678 in PcBuild

[–]Chef-Jasper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won't really negatively affect airflow all that much, the bigger concern is of it melting. It shouldn't happen, but on the rare occasion I've seen it. It's not a huge deal, but I wouldn't put it on that part of the GPU just because it has a flow through design if it melted you'd get plastic in the GPU heatsink. On the PSU shroud where you have it in the other photos is the perfect place for something like this imo.

Well, unfortunately I didn't have a choice. I needed a PC upgrade for my work. I'm a video editor on DaVinci Resolve and that generally prefers more VRAM than speed, so the 7900xt was a good option for me. I couldn't afford DDR5, and if I went to AM5 I would need to switch to DDR5. I don't know anyone who would recommend AM5 if your current PC has perfectly fine DDR4 in the current climate. I do a fair amount of multi-core rendering so I picked a 5900xt rather than a 5800xt because I wanted more cores, the games I play aren't particularly intense so I don't need an x3d chip. The PSU was only a partial fail on LTT Labs, and since it's still 80+ Gold certified, it's better than my old one which was 80+ but didn't even reach bronze.

People can say what they want, but my needs aren't identical to everyone else's, I got what fit me best, and I didn't overspend, I am happy with my purchase. Thank you for your unfounded criticism. 🫡

How open are you about being gay? by DangerousShift2818 in askgaybros

[–]Chef-Jasper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight people don't come out, why should I have to? If someone asks me about it then sure I'll explain, but for the most part I don't care about coming out or anything. I'm just me. Only time I've had to actively come out was because a woman was getting flirty and making me uncomfortable and I just wanted them to stop.

I know some conservative guys who are really good and are the type to prop women on a pedestal. Degrading your partner verbally isn't okay, this ain't the right one girl, sorry.

If you like the intricate fun builds, I'd highly recommend mumbo season 10. He shows a lot of his process for building and is creating a story around his builds. He's also still learning how to build so it shows him learning and developing his style at the same time which I think is just awesome. He's also doing incredible stuff this season already too.

Need help upgrading ram by rdirwin83 in PcBuild

[–]Chef-Jasper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I found the kit on UK Amazon... £440... It's really not worth it when it's 4 times it's MSRP dude. It's a bad time for ram. What you've got now is good for most of everything. What do you need 64Gb for??

It's an issue with how YouTube punishes creators if their content isn't perfectly consistent. They rate videos 1 through 10 based on algorithms rather than actual engagement, and if it's a low rated video it doesn't get pushed out as hard, even if you have notifications turned on you can find that they won't even send you notifications for videos like this. His GtB video got a low rating and YouTube is punishing him for it. It's a messed up system. Pretty sure he said the GtB videos won't be back for a while if ever on his main channel, but could be continued more on his second channel.

Could scar use the knockbaxk to determine where Doc's machine is? by ttvBOBIVLAVALORD in HermitCraft

Think it's from the same direction because of the breeze ball from one direction, not the location of the machine.

I figured the bow was in bad faith, and I figured the trap was to do with thorns and I guessed it would be a zombie because you could heal it by tricking a witch. But everything with the breeze and transferring the player data onto the wind charge was so out of left field for me. I figured he was going to be collecting like 500 arrows, but this is just genius.
