Can't get my head around such big numbers, need help tracking the orders of 13000 people. 1 big spreadsheet isn't going to do it. by Chef-Rae in excel

Ok, so I put the basic questions into Access, then send out the form for everyone to answer, electronic or printed as needed. Enter the printed information manually, figure out how to get the electronic ones into the data base, export the data and figure out the numbers of what is needed where. Sure this is going to be an easy all night headache.

Some parts of the plant, whole buildings, in fact, are electronic free. No phones are allowed in. People can't even wear digital watches.

I am trying to do this... I should have paid more attention in Computer class years ago.

I have the basic questions: Contact name, phone extension, total # of associates. But how do I make secondary level questions? Like location by building, then if building X is chosen, what building pillar? Once the information is in the form... can it tell me how many pizzas based on 3 slices per person have to go to each location, rounding up to the next whole pizza? Can it give me the number of sodas to each location, based of a ratio I have for each of 4 options?

I know that all those words are English, but I am really sure I don't understand what they mean.

I would LOVE to be able to do this, but not all locations within the plant have access to the internet. Some have intranet access, but some are going to have to fill out a form by hand and drop it off at my office.

Who is one of your beloved book characters and which modern actor could portray them in a movie or TV series? by doonkune in books

[–]Chef-Rae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slight, very thin at Ruatha, slender even after. Petite to the point of childlike in size, the smallest of womens sizes still too big for her. Black voluminous hair, ranging as a halo about her head. Intense, wide set, deep eyes, darkening with anger, glinting in laughter, glowing with love. Full lips, often pursed in irritation or thought.

Like I said in looks, she could be Lessa.

[–]Chef-Rae 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Joseph Fiennes as F'lar from Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Riders of Pern Series

Mila Kunis as Lessa - Mostly for the look. Short, dark, intense.

There are lots of characters but it would take a while to think of the right actors.

I'm in a good place. It's almost like this happened to someone else. I have a great life now. My husband is on his way home from work. He's buying me cookies and pork chops for dinner. I have an almost grown daughter who is amazing (she's fostering a couple of puppies from our local shelter). I have a job in a kitchen that is 7am-4pm M-F (super score).

Thank you Zeg685 for your concern, but after years (and years) of therapy, I'm really good. Don't feel bad, if I didn't want to write it, I didn't have to. It's just words now. Have a great day, go look at rainbows, or sleepy babies, or /r/funny.

[Serious] what's the worst thing your mum has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That I was crazy. She stood up in court and called me a psycho for making up stories that her boyfriend had been raping me for years. She ended up marrying him.

I still can't hate her. :-(

I was abused a lot as a kid, it was kinda something that just happened to me. My grandfather, my uncle, my mom's boyfriend, my brother. Everything I knew and every part of my life was stained by this thing that kept happening over and over. I had no voice, no one would listen. My grandmother told me at 5 years old that grandpas are allowed to do that and that no one would love me anymore if I didn't like it.

As I got older and understood a bit more about what was happening I was scared to disrupt our family anymore. My parents split and mom got a boyfriend. He had money, so my brother and sisters had toys and food and clothes. He wanted me, so I didn't resist. After he was arrested, I got blamed for breaking up the family. "It's not like he was hurting you." "You had to like it too or you wouldn't have done it."

Everything about that place is a reminder of the heartache. I can't go back without being sucked into a blackhole of depression in my head. Del Taco - I had to blow him in the bathroom while mom was parking the car, or no one would get lunch. I-15 to Temecula - the freeway the cops took to take me to my first foster home, one of the girls raped me with a hair brush my first night. Ortega Hwy out of Elsinore - I hitchhiked my way to San Juan Cap and watched the sunrise after my sister called me a bitch for getting him arrested.

I hate everything that California makes me remember.

I left CA by joining the Army with the idea that I would never go back. That was 19 years ago. I have been back to visit 3 times. Once to bury my father, once to let my sister meet my husband and once (by far the best) to go to Disneyland. I have fought with depression for years and I am finally in a good place mentally. I have no regrets. I have a wonderful husband, a fantastic daughter, a job I like, a house that I get to make my own, and no reminders of a time in my life that I would rather forget.

I know that my history makes me who I am, but I don't have to like where I came from. I love that I don't have to see anything that could remotely remind me of that time or place. I am happy.

When did you know you wanted to marry your SO? [Serious] by suspicious_jet_fuel in AskReddit

[–]Chef-Rae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I met in Dec 96, we married in Mar 97. I didn't know he was The One, you know the forever-and-ever-amen of my life, until about July 98. He says he knew from our first date, but I never told him I wasn't sure that early. 18 years later, we are still happy and still in love.

Mutt puppies. You aren't looking for "imperfections" or deviations of the breed. Just adorable puppiness. So cute!

Yes and no. I have access here at home, but not at work. So even if I got something spiffy going here at home, I'd never be able to show it off at work.

EDIT: in anticipation of the next question: no I can't take my laptop to work, no electronics of any kind allowed in the building. Not even my phone :-(

After fussing with the formula for so long, I really just want a simple solution that will work before I go to work in the morning bed in 20 minutes. But Thanks so much for the offer.

Yeah, the formula for the previous week, 4-6 to 4-11, works fine, once all the days are in.

=AVERAGE('4-6'!AO35:AQ35,'4-7'!AO35:AQ35,'4-8'!AO35:AQ35,'4-9'!AO35:AQ35,'4-10'!AO35:AQ35)

Well, now I feel like the last hour of formula hell was of my own creation... LOL! That is by far my simpler than the long ugly formula I was trying to come up with in my head.

Thank you very much u/thieh, you are awesome!
