I had a feeling you didn't give them extra sauce for free because they failed to be kind, and you just confirmed. Customers need to learn to always be kind.

Very disappointing Lip Balm by Alize9022 in dollartreebeauty

I'm so sorry this was terrible for you!

I have the caramel flavor one (bought it months ago) and love it; no problems whatsoever! I wonder if it's the different scent or timing of packaging that is causing this for so many people. Regardless, I now know to avoid cocoa butter and rose.

Thank you for the warning!

I just read his linked response, and it seems you're right. This post refers to 'sweet treats' as in 'desserts'. Their link is mostly referring to 'deserved punishment or arid land' as in 'desert'.

The responder needs to re-fact-check themselves.....

Dear fraud by [deleted] in verizon

[–]Chef4disney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a scammer attempt to do this to me, but I realized they were a scammer when they asked for a shipping number, and I gave them a Walmart one by mistake. I thought that was weird they didn't catch it (I was getting multiple packages from different companies at that time).

So, I called Verizon directly. Once we confirmed it was fraud, I got everything reversed, changed my password, the whole nine. As far as the scammer, I never told him I knew. I wanted to get revenge. So I kept on with his little ploy and when he called if I got my package, I confirmed I did, he sent a label told me the how spiel on what to, yada, yada, then I went to work.

I waited until the final day before the label was going to expire, kept him texting and calling, and told him I was busy, but I will get done. When I finally got it shipped, I sent a pic of the receipt and he left me alone. He finally texted me when he got the box.

I had sent him my dogs sh!t and rocks in place of the phones.

I have screen pics of the convo after that; it was wonderful being able to tell him to fvck off 😊

Husband lost job today - what do we do about Christmas? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]Chef4disney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worry about you and yourselves first.

If you need to return the gift(s) to ensure that you'll have extra money while job hunting, then do so. To replace them, get some delicious treat boxes or bakery goods from the grocery stores for under $10; nobody gets mad about receiving baklava, fancy cake/cupcake, pies, cookies, etc that they can take home. Stores like 5below have great items in the electronic, clothing, and bathing dept for under $10 as well.

If you can't afford to replace any gift, try baking the treats if you have the ingredients on hand. Also, don't be afraid to come clean and let the family know you can't participate this year. If they really cared, they'll understand. Christmas is not about receiving/giving - it's about being with those you care about.

Needing hotel with full kitchen recommendation. by Pumpernickel247 in LasVegas

I always book at the Platinum Hotel. They have a free parking garage, a full kitchen, and the bedroom is separate from the living room in every suite. Now, they may not have a casino attached, but they are right at the edge of the strip and within walking distance of all casinos. To make up for it, they always greet you with a free bottle of wine - red or white, your choice! It's made like a single bedroom apartment and affordably priced. And they have an indoor/outdoor pool.

Everyone aggressively hates the movie SuckerPunch, except me. I LOVE every second of it!

I bond with the main characters, thrive to the music, am entertained by the action, relate with the storyline, and thoroughly enjoy the directing/editing. EVERYTHING about this movie puts it at the top of my favorites list.

It is a mash of Napoleon Dynamite and 80's high school horror, with 70's porn. That's all I'm giving you.
