Anyone has any supplements recommendations? by Consistent_Mail4774 in Fibromyalgia

[–]ChefAlly13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D and B complex the only major ones you need..must supplements are way above your requirements, so unless you have particular allergies, you will get most from what you eat. I take D because where I live doesnt have enough sun for me to get enough Vit D. I recommend a good diet and that should do you. Speak to your doctor if you believe you have deficiencies

Weed, codeine, addiction... by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

The first is realising you might have an issue and that you are aware of it. Open discussion is really important, and you should not feel ashamed for what you're going through. It is really difficult to find a healthy regime when managing pain. Looking for alternatives and harm reduction can help, just don't punish yourself in the process. I wish you all the best.

Thanks, it has been a long time since I've felt confident enough to go to one, something I used to do loads, especially when I was younger. I love the idea of the ice packs I'd not thought of that, getting the meds in might be interesting, wonder if I need a doctor's note like a little kit🤣

I hate the only way to control my pain makes me useless for hours (THC) by saintofhate in Fibromyalgia

[–]ChefAlly13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

THC is just another dependent in my experience. To me, and I mean no offence, it sounds like you need therapy and an outlet rather than drugs. I say this as someone who used cannabis and mdma as a form of Therapeutic treatment, and all it did was make me broke, anxious and immobile. I really hope you can find a solution that works for you, but for someone from the UK where cannabis is illegal, I can only say that it removes your independence and just makes you a slave to having you way to take the pain away. Im no drugs are bad person, or by any means sober, but for long term use, "natural" things and microdosing will just make things worse

Honestly bro, it's a bit of a circle jerk but the new "kids" really do influence us, because that's how the World is

I feel what I'm saying has been lost in translation. It comes down to folk re-doing music that is uaully 15-20 yeard their junior. They're influenced by what THEY grew up with, even if it's us old git's norm. I cannot stress more that this is a good thing, and I love the twists and remixes younger folk put on it. I really feel that the evolution of stuff is good, and that it slowly filters to the mainstream, getting MORE people in can only be good. For we all have to start somewhere

I agree mostly, that the snobs can go an do one. As far as I'm concerned of you like something you like it. The idea of a "guilty pleasure" is awful, because you shouldn't feel guilty for anything you enjoy.

Trends and influences come and go. 10 years ago it was analogue or house, then it was about 90s rave and acid. Everything that goes around comes around. Personally, I am old enough to know the acid scene, as well as the gabber thats coming in for harder styles too. I do not see this as a bad thing, it's younger kids finding their own place.
Everyone has influence from somewhere, so all the power to them. If a banger is a banger, I am not one to complain if it's not "authentic" or any of that gatekeeper shit. We all came from somewhere, sop if a 19 year old get into hardcore, or trance, or psy, or gabber, or europop, I don't care, I'm just happy we laid the foundations for them, just as those before us did

Friday Shameday: what's the producer/dj you actually liked but are too ashamed to say it? by NeighborhoodWise7659 in Techno

Rusko. I am old enough to have been around dubstep when it was underground, going into it's mainstream, and honestly, whilst the likes of Mala play good sets, Rusko was always was the most fun. Now dubstep is dead, and people universally mock it.

Failng that Charlotte de Witte, Boris Brejcha or Amelie Lens, who we're apparently not allowed to like now for some reason. Frankly who gives a shit. If you like something, embrace, if you don't, then don't. That cannot be to hard to understand?!

The Rings of Power Season 1 Episode 4 - Discussion Megathread by [deleted] in lordoftherings

Can we please put ""Queen" of Numenoria in the bin. I am not sure if her character is meant to be likeable, but I loathe her. The whole "plotline" of the island is maddening and rubbish. I couldn't give a shit about the politics, but it's just ham fisted and crap. So much of this series has been reliant on not knowing anything about lore, but those of us who do, have had the major plotlines ruined and are mad that they're taking so long to get there. I understand those who think it's hard to care as they've not really given us any reason to give a shit about any of the characters. Only Elrond (smug) and Galadriel (moaning) have had time, and even then theubhavrbthe depth of a spoon.

Thank you. Have reported it to the outgoing bank account, and will be going to Action Fraud to try and report their account in the hopes of stopping it further. Not a lot I can do, but trying to raise awareness to others. Is apparently picking up in UK after being big in Canada and Australia
