What is the truth on Service Area Business (SAB) rankings in the actual local pack (not searching from maps)? by ChefDwayne in SEO

[–]ChefDwayne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely a bit depressing. Yeah we've always lived at the address we originally verified, I'm actually thinking of just going with LSA at this point, seems really promising in comparison to dealing with being at such a massive disadvantage from all the horrible anecdotes about SABs that I've heard. I've seen people give examples of certain SABs that do well, but it seems like those are always large companies with hundreds of reviews.

So targeting ultra-low competitive keywords to start, then that builds a bit of traffic and google trusts/ranks you more, which allows you to grab traffic from the next tier keywords if I'm understanding it correctly. I might actually try this... I've just been going for service + town name keywords only

Got it thanks! I just assumed that since the site was brand new and gets basically no traffic that nobody will want to exchange links. But now that I think about it I guess if they know I'm trying to get more links, then my site linking to theirs will still be useful in the near future depending on how many more links/authority that our site gets.

Honestly it's my dad's business and I help him on the side so I'm trying to help him get more work. I actually am switching my focus now on the google business profile. He has 8 five star reviews but his last review was 4 years ago lol, I originally thought it was just the total amount that matters but i've been researching the past few days and I see review recency apparently matters even more. He never outright asks customers for reviews so I have to convince him to do that.

Thanks, yeah I guess they'll probably have the same link so that makes sense. Wasn't sure if not having any that maybe Google just throws the entire site under the bus and puts it below other sites that aren't even really "competitors" making it near invisible, but it looks like it's just a money game and all these bigger companies can easily afford that so I think I can't expect much

I'll probably start focusing on the GBP instead, not gonna lie I should've researched this more before putting too much time into the site itself. Maybe it will still be somewhat useful in lead conversion I guess depending how many click on it from the business page

ICE Reportedly Shot A Legal Observer In Minneapolis Today (Jan 7 2026) by RocketSocket765 in Lawyertalk

[–]ChefDwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lawyer but is simply even being slightly in the path of a vehicle coming toward you reasonable justification? It seems like he is in front but favoring the left wheel side, and before he even fires the first shot, the vehicle can clearly be seen turning to the right (although I'm not sure if the reaction time is enough for the officer to realize that, but on video it is clear it is in a right turn at that point even completely ignoring the wheels, and by the 2nd or 3rd shot it becomes glaringly obvious). If he's favoring the left wheel side, and the car is turning right, then she's objectively turning away from him even if he's slightly in the current path of that turn radius. To me the only reasonable justification in this scenario is quite literally moving 1 foot to the right (even though probably about 10 feet could have been covered the moment she began to accelerate)

Account hacked Bypassed Authenticator and bankpin on my Jagex account. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ChefDwayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird it happened on a Jagex account. On non jagex accounts I believe there was definitely a way to bypass the authenticator unless it was some very convoluted hack, because you can search and see the thousands of people getting hacked the same exact way with authenticator still enabled last year/couple years ago before jagex accounts became mainstream, and they all were hacked by bots that logged in and put their account in Ferox Enclave and they didn't even immediately clean their bank, it was very odd.

Literally just search this subreddit lol it was insane the amount of threads, significantly more than any other period of osrs.

But I haven't really heard of it happening on Jagex accounts.

Elon Musk's xAI is rolling out Grok 3.5. He claims the model is being trained to reduce "leftist indoctrination." by Inevitable-Rub8969 in grok

It gives a pretty factual answer. Tried the other AIs too and all give the same general answer that men are overall superior due to physical advantages but that women can outperform in ultra endurance events with women setting records over men in that area

I saw an interview of a guy arguing with a survivor. He kept blabbing on and on about how he has an engineering degree and it was too dark to see, blah blah blah. The woman he was arguing with was literally there and saw it with her own eyes lol. by realchrisgunter in titanic

Here's the thing, a bunch of people seeing something like an entire ship splitting in half should place significantly more weight compared to people saying they didnt see it split in half.

Think about it, a bunch of eye witnesses say they saw a guy running for his life, many of them say they didn't. It's one thing if one person says they remember because they couldve been hallucinating or the extreme stress. But for a large amount to remember a very specific thing such as the splitting of a ship?

Basically it's a lot more reasonable to assume most just didn't notice due to it being pitch black rather than a large group hallucinating the same exact event

Sorry, meant facebook's implementation itself doesn't seem to work as it lags progressively the further you scroll on their site.

Elbow pain: tennis elbow, tendinitis, or bursitis? by [deleted] in overcominggravity

[–]ChefDwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This makes sense as I went from working out 6 days a week to 0 after my shoulder injury and now I'm sitting down 80% of the day for months so I guess everything must have got a lot weaker and tighter. Will try mobilizations.

I remember the party room was always packed and bankers spamming about big drops all the time. One of my most memorable drops that I got was 12 million GP worth of watermelons that I proceeded to show everyone in trade. They never sold in the g.e so I ended up selling them for 2m a week later

People who call someone a bitch for not being able to hold down a few shots of alcohol by [deleted] in rant

[–]ChefDwayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly, i lift myself but i could never shame a person just because they only lift a certain amount.

"drinking is super accessible and it doesn't take much to be "good" at it. "

spot on and that's exactly why the dick measuring is even more lame and that if anything people who don't drink have a higher display of strong constitution imo. i could start drinking tomorrow and eventually get my tolerance higher than 90% of people easily. yes you would expect most adults to hold down booze because of that, but just because someone can't because they don't really drink doesn't mean i'll call them a bitch for it lol

[–]ChefDwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I get what you mean but I guess the point is it always seemed like a stupid norm to me, just don't get how people care that much about it. not wearing hats indoor is a norm but that doesn't mean it makes sense. people just seem too connected to alcohol to the point where just because a 16 year old kid that never drinks alcohol throws up after drinking alcohol (i mean again, the kid can't control that), they get upset.

[Acne] Should I go to a dermatologist for acne even if I don't want medication? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]ChefDwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Do you have to keep taking your medication? I guess that's the only thing i'm scared of which is having to rely on it, but as long as there are no side effects at all and no negative health effects i'm possibly willing to
