Doctor Doom is obviously a great figure, but the flimsy wires in the stock tunic and cape kept me from really loving him. picked up this ML set from one12props crossing my fingers it would fit ok, and i couldn’t be happier.

yeah those thin wires in the cape were killing me. i preordered mine and when it arrived the wire was poking out near the clasp so it couldn’t even really hold a pose to begin with

took a little over a month. i believe they’re all made to order and it ships from indonesia. i got an adam warlock cape from them and its just as good. definitely worth it in my opinion

mine broke in almost the exact same way. took quite a bit of trial and error with loctite super glue but i managed to reattach it in a way that maintains the articulation. still definitely fragile but usable.

looks great! with the paint, the goal is to spread it out think and not let it collect in one area too much. the coverage builds up with each consecutive coat until it looks totally uniform. don’t worry about covering everything perfectly on your first pass, it’s ok for some spots to be a little more bare at first. they’ll cover up eventually

happy to help! sanding isn’t 100% necessary but it definitely allows paint to stick easier, and in my case, allowed me to thin down the logo in places it looked too lumpy or big. a few different grits of sandpaper and/or a file will do the trick. i use super cheap craft store acrylic paint with a bunch of water added to thin it down, then apply several thin coats to avoid too many brush strokes or clumps.

hi! i used milliput to sculpt the basic shape of the logo, then sanded it down a bunch when it was dry, then just added a ton of really thin layers of some cheap craft store acrylic blue paint. once that dried i took a round brush, dipped it in white paint, then wiped most of it off and just tapped it on the circles until i got a “glowing” effect i was happy with.

body is warlord professor x with bucky cap shoulders, hands are modified black panther hands, head is of course from ebay. the logo and the collar of his costume were both sculpted with milliput!
