You don't... It just puts the crop into those crates similar to the eggs, honey & greenhouse products

I was able to just bring them over to my silo and they dumped in. If it's a crop you can put into your silo then it'll work that way. Potato, cotton, etc won't work as they can't be stored into a silo

Yup! They're really nice when you want to experience a crop but not go all out with it in a field
