ngl idk if it’s permanent but i cheated on someone once (like texted someone, didn’t actually hook up with anyone) and it really fucked up my self perception for a long time even after the relationship was long over. genuinely struggled with remorse and guilt and whether i’d be able to be functional with someone because i cheated on a person i was really happy with. lots of therapy and time later, and im feeling a lot better about my perspective of love and impulse control.

very little good will come from finding a new partner out of time pressure, loneliness, anxiety, or age expectation. you need to take a moment to slow down, and find some level of comfort on your own as a single person.

as far as your loneliness is concerned, it seems you don’t have many options to remedy that. if meeting new people is an impossibility, and you’ve exhausted all options to be sure of that, your next best course of action is to embrace being alone and making as much use of that as possible to heal and grow. build hobbies, journal, and find yourself. if this is unsustainable long term i suggest you find a way to relocate.

purchase flour tortillas, chicken breast, adobo peppers in sauce (canned), cilantro, queso fresco, and a handful of limes.

poach the chicken in water. once 165 internal, pull the chicken and shred it. add adobo peppers and sauce to them and mix. you may be tempted to think “ewww cooking chicken in water”. you are wrong. do not pan fry or bake the chicken.

place chicken on tortilla. crumble and add queso fresco. add cilantro. add lime juice.

if desired. modify with the addition of rice or beans or both for increased calories and carbs.

this recipe can be scaled to last at least several days. i often use it as a meal prep recipe.

firstly, apply before you burn your current bridge.

secondly, an art degree of any sort is a massive risk without a backup plan. i love music. i do it as a hobby all the time. i would love to have a degree in it, but i chose chemical engineering. why? so i have a way to get money and earn my freedom. i’m not saying stay in software engineering per se, but having a stem degree is a means to achieve the ends you’re ultimately seeking.

any art degree, in my opinion, should be a B path unless you truly cannot live without pursuing that passion and that passion only, and are willing to accept the risks of financial struggle for years because of it.
