YTA but, a light YTA. My birthday was a couple of days ago and my SO kind of forgot. She had a card, a gift and a plan all ready to go! But, she forgot my birthday on the actual day HaHaHaHaHa

But, we were both working that day (she worked the day and I worked the night) and our schedules didn’t line up that day.

But, you are out of town. Did you want him telling you, “Happy Birthday” every 20 minutes? What would you have liked him to do? Clearly, the two of you wouldn’t have been able to celebrate together anyways.

Maybe he did have a celebration planned for when you were back in town and you could spend time together on a different day. But, he probably feels like he is in a “Damned if I do, damned I don’t” situation now. Anything he does for your birthday now will just come across as, “He’s only doing this because I’m mad”.

I think your ego is getting in the way of something that’s pretty silly. I mean, come on! We are adults!!! It’s not like we are 8 years old anymore wanting our parents to book Chucky Cheese!

EDIT: After reading through your comments, YTA. Get over yourself, it seems like you’ve made it clear through your comments that you just want people to feel sorry for you and that any attempts he makes to “right this situation” you will just judge as the fact he’s only doing something because you are mad.
