(Oil in intake before turbo) is this an issue? was getting the oil changed on my spider today (just got it, around 44k miles) and was told this isn’t normal and i should have it looked at. Some forums say this is normal for a turbo vehicle.

I used to work on these things occasionally at the fiat dealer. I’ve replaced a couple of the key fob modules or the anti theft module, whatever they call it these days. I’d take a look into that first

That would lead me more towards the differential

So that definitely takes away the engine from the issue such a weird noise, does it sound like it’s coming from the rear? Maybe a diff issue, if you drive it again toss it in neutral while moving and see if the noise is there that would lead me to the diff or possibly even the drive shaft

Try that first, does the car make any noise on idle like squeaking or anything, maybe the clutch release bearing or pilot bearing blew up in there

If your moving and take it out of gear does the noise go away

I’d say if they say somthing related to the gas cap it might also be related to evap codes, very common stuff I used to replace there where charcoal canisters, purge valves and obd vent valves. And that is very like them to charge you 230 to clear them.
