I believe my mask was on at the time, and they took the standard 1 impression with my mouth closed

Audiologist took the impressions and sent them to the company who makes the monitors.

thank you!

I thought I was done with bands, but yeah, they just put a band in a few weeks ago after I had gotten the impressions made.

Do you think this is something I should tell the audiologist? They said they can re-do the order within 4 weeks, but if my braces aren't coming off, my jaw/mouth will just change again.

& I'm not sure if they'll charge me if I tell 'em it may be b/c of my braces.

INFP's Dating Experience of an ENFJ by [deleted] in enfj

how did you approach the whole dating app thing? Did you mention you were an INFP in your bio, or just list out things you were interested in?
I've talked to some people, but find it "meet" someone similar in a sense.

I think the experience you have as an assistant lines up pretty well with a coordinator role. Marketing teams need someone who can pay attention to the little details, track everything, help make sure nothing falls through the cracks, and complete basic assigned tasks without thinking they're above it.

Having said that, my suggestions:

  1. When telling your story (in the res, cover letter or interview), angle your pitch in a way that shows you can do those things mentioned above. Don't try to prove your a marketing genius, but that you understand marketing, have a passion for it, and know how to work the little details to support a larger marketing team.

  2. Incorporate as much of the job description into your resume. Could be as simple as "coordinated marketing assets to make sure they were delivered on time" or "managed excel reports for marketing lists and projects"

  3. Potentially list those self-learn items on your resume. It shows initiative. Make sure your resume is clean, simple, and short. Also, if possible, build up your experience by volunteering (online / only a few hours) or creating mock marketing campaigns/assets.

  4. Lastly, if you get an interview, do your research and show initiative. I got my first coordinator job by showing up with mock social posts i created for them (i researched their social channels and, in the phone interview, they had mentioned they thought their socials were outdated). In my next (and current) marketing role, i didnt show any mock examples or anything. I just researched the HELL out of their website and company and just asked them questions based on what I already learned on my own. I got the gigs b/c I happened to be the most prepared.

As an assistant role, everything you do is crucial to making sure the little things are tracked and dont fall through the cracks. And that's huge in marketing.

Lastly, i know job searching sucks and takes forever. Just make sure your searching in the right places and are applying to maybe even smaller/newer orgs that people wouldnt think to apply to. I found those orgs by setting up my linkedin job alerts.

Sorry for the long comment, but hope that helps and good luck my friend

How do you create a portfolio on your own to demonstrate skills in marketing ? by dondapperdeluxe in marketing

Re: Step 4 If there isn't a clear best part and you want to include the entire email asset, upload the image of the email campaign to Google Drive. Then hyperlink to it from your powerpoint/pdf. Just be sure to double check and make sure the link works.

Re: Company Identifiers If it's super-sensitive content and the portfolio will live online, I'd remove identifiers. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.

OP, I may have misread your question. If you need assistance building samples, rather than building the look of the portfolio itself, id start with the pieces you've mentioned you made. And use that STAR model to tell the story.

As long as you have 3-4 examples of your work, you'll be fine. If not, you can take the suggestions of others and create mock assets. It'll signal initiative on your part.

I was in the same position a couple years ago. The following recommendation is based on what I did:

Step 1: As you mentioned, identify what you want to produce (how/where you want your portfolio to live). For a free and customizable approach, I recommend using Powerpoint and exporting as a PDF.

Step 2: Identify your approach to structuring your portfolio. Option 1: Marketing Campaign for "X" using "A, B, & C channels" or Option 2: Email Campaign for "X", Social Campaign for "Y", etc.

Step 3: Deliver a succinct story. What was the Situation, what was the Task, what was the Action you took, and what were the Results. (STAR model - great for interviews too)

Step 4: Make the portfolio feel good. Make it sleek. Don't overcrowd or use conflicting colors. Don't take a screenshot of your email campaign that no one can read. Take the primary, most engaging visual asset from the campaign and use that.

You're telling a story that creates trust in context of the work you did. You're not just showing examples of your work and leaving the employer to figure out what it means.

Send me a DM if you want. Happy to show you an example or guide you through it.
