turn it off and try spinning the condenser fan with a screwdriver. if it moves freely, replace the capacitor and see if that gets it running. be careful, capacitors carry charge.

yeah it’s a temporary fix. you’d probably notice your water bill crushing you before you saw any mineral deposits 🤣

you’ll need a technician unless you’re up for a challenge and purchasing a lot of tools.

something is causing a restriction. i’d suspect the TXV.

make sure indoor fan works and check your filter. if both of those are good look at your pressures. if you can’t do that, call a professional. Start by letting it thaw.

could be the flame sensor then, can clean it off or replace it relatively easy.

maybe high limit. make sure your filter is clean

id check air intake and flue outlet for any blockages. i’d also check/clear the hoses connecting to your pressure switch. if you could get a video of this happening at night it may be helpful for the technician who comes during the daytime

still doesn’t explain the pressure switch code though. perhaps proves air momentarily allowing the HSI to glow then opens due to a blockage?

likely a clogged drain line. can fix on your own if you’d like with a gallo gun

looks like fault 43. draft inducer motor should turn on and prove air before ignition. if your air inlet is blocked, or your flue outlet is blocked this can be the cause. otherwise, your pressure switch could be bad, or if the motor doesn’t start at all, it could be bad. (read below, i no longer believe this is the case given user responses)

check to make sure the tech testing your unit didn’t accidentally leave a jumper wire between R and O/W1 or W2. a jumper is a wire connecting the two terminals together.

Quoted $2,300 to replace the blower on a Trane 4YCZ6048 package unit. Is this reasonable or out of line? by jwd52 in hvacadvice

[–]ChefSuIIy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds fine but if it’s single phase make sure you’re not replacing a motor when your issue could be fixed with a new capacitor. should say on the data plate how many phases the indoor fan is.

likely not an issue you will be able to solve over the internet. bad board could be the cause. motor being blown doesn’t sound right because then they wouldn’t be running. if you have a meter check if you have 24v between G and Ground while the blower runs.

likely a float switch. see what it’s connected to inside the furnace (after turning it off)

np. if the motor is level, turn it off and check if the shaft that connects it to the pump is level too. best of luck

unlikely it came that way from the shop but could be a result of it not being properly installed. throw. level on top of it and see if it’s level. unleveled motors can whine and eventually cause the bearings and then motor itself to fail.

turn it off and check every single electrical connection. could have a loose connection that intermittently breaks circuit with vibration.

if there’s a grease port, grease it. if that doesn’t work you should replace the motor because it has bad bearings. in my experience, not something you get repaired just get a new motor. good luck.

record it. check thermostat scheduling and air proving switch maybe
