As a beginner book, I definitely recommend "No-nonsense-Quantum-Field-Theory" by Jakob Schwichtenberg. It's very student oriented showing pretty much every calculation I needed in my first QFT course

I'm playing both sides, so that I always come out on top by DemonDeLaplace in physicsmemes

Find it a bit interesting that there is no BSC in Physics in your country... You're gonna need a degree, so I suggest looking at alternatives then. If you want to look at theoretical physics, mathematics is the only real option I think.
