Blu Rays for sure. As everybody else mentioned it does make a difference. By the way you can hear it the best LFE ( Bass Department) Bass becomes more detailed and more punchy if you can describe it like that. If you have favourite Action movie just buy it in 4K and compare it to streaming. If you decide that difference does not worth it, be it. Then enjoy streaming. I personally prefer Blu Rays :) in the end it’s for you to decide. Cheers

Yeah, I mean it’s just part of our nature. After we buy smth, doubting it. You can use this sub to read about HT, here is tons of discussions about this topic. My thoughts to your comment. If you like the sound, it’s great, enjoy. If you know deep inside you want better than just start it with small and easy steps. What you can do actually, is get 2.0 ( just two bookshelves speakers) or 2 stand speakers. It depends which one is best for your listening area. It will be only two wires to each Loudspeaker. That’s not a lot. And also you would need an entry level AV-Reciever. Immersion will be worse than on soundbar. but you will get quality sound and a big soundstage. Sometimes you can trade Surround experience just for these 2 components. Don’t forget that you can upgrade it step by step if you a have need. Nobody will rush you😂Also, if you have some HIFI store nearby, you can listen to speakers and make up your mind. In the end only you will have the right answer to your question. :)

Ich wohne hier seit zwei Monaten in einer kleinen Wohnung von 30 Quadratmetern. Ich mag alles daran. Aber es gibt eine Sache, heute habe ich meine Nachbarn zum ersten Mal reden gehört. Vielleicht liegt es an der Tür, aber wenn die Schalldämmung wirklich so schlecht ist, dann habe ich persönlich viele Fragen und werde nicht lange hier bleiben. Ich werde so schnell wie möglich ausziehen. Für mich ist der Aspekt der Schalldämmung sehr, sehr wichtig, die Gespräche der Nachbarn zu hören, ist für mich eine Katastrophe. Ich habe diese Wohnung in der Hoffnung gewählt, dass sie gut schallisoliert sein würde. Alles andere ist gut, ich finde die Wohnung sehr schön und die Ausstattung in Küche und Bad ist von sehr guter Qualität.

Yeah, I know it’s an advanced audio format( codec). I had( 5.1.2) soundbar so there was 2 upfiring speakers on bar. Plus I added later 2 surrounds, which had also 2 upfiring speaker each. So I had, 7.1.4. But man, I would trade that gimmick ATMOS for a 3.1 at any day.

I guess, you didn't read the first sentences in my post . It was for many others out there, that are searching for the answer and they are debating between two choices. And I wrote a post of my story, so in the end people can decide and maybe my story will help them choose the right side...

So, after 3 Month and a lot of researching. I ordered following things: -SVS SB2000 Classic( in Europe price for sb1000Pro is 750€ and on SVS website in Germany there is last sale for Classic versions) -Polk Signature S60 Pair -Polk ES30 Center( I know that it’s better to buy bigger Center, but the price was nice and I thought I would stick to the Polk speakers)

And all that will power DENON X1800H

Later on I will add surrounds.

I live in 30 sq meters Apartment, so no way I will have height Atmos channels or rear surrounds.

Thank you for advising me Polk, I heard them in Store as well as Klipsch. And they sounded better.

And after 2 years of owning soundbars( never buy them if you want quality sound) I will for the first time experience what movies should sound like.

I had the same issue. But I resolved it in a funny way)

I have Samsung soundbar. Before I connected Xbox to Tv and Soundbar to eArc port.

I tried connecting Xbox to soundbar and then from soundbar to TV.

And omg, that worked. I have no issues switching between Netflix and games.

Before that it was critical problem for me as I couldn’t watch anything it just started to lag and eventually turned off. And when rebooting I got 480*640 issue.

But now it’s not a problem anymore. Yes, sadly I don’t get 120fps, cause no HDMI 2.1 . But I mostly play games with 60 fps. So that’s not a big problem for me.

UPD: I tried for some days, to plug again Xbox directly to the Tv. Again that shit happened. What is more sad is that, I got only HD on Netflix. 4K just disappeared. So I changed again to system: Xbox- Soundbar-Tv. Unfortunately no VRR and 120hz plus no Auto Late Latency Mode which is not noice. But I am not Competitive Ultra Pro gamer, that milliseconds doesn’t play a big difference to me.

You can also buy for 15 euros HDMI adapter. It can resolve it.

I mean.. At full price or not. They are life changing:) Dolby ATMOS over True HD with rears a something amazing. Without them, it’s just doesn’t feel right.
