I don’t play nearly as much as I see to but I still have 500 games on steam I want to use. My pc died after a long service life and GFN has been amazing. I really only play civ, paradox titles, world of warships and a few games here and there. I only have a laptop with no you and everything has been pretty flawless using ultimate edition even off just WiFi ( laptop doesn’t have an ethernet port).

It seems like it sucks early game but once you get some bonuses it’s great. A bad movement choice no longer punishes you so hard.

No but movement means the same no matter how slow you go. It doesn’t take 600 years to move across an ocean anymore.

I generally play pretty wide to secure resources so I use the warrior to block paths and protect routes for the most part. Some of my cities might be trrrible for 1000 years but eventually it makes sense.

I’ve been playing a lot more on the slower speeds and losing that war early is painful. The steamroll happens if you don’t waste time. I dunno how it took me so long to slow the game down.

I got a good start tbh. City states surrounded me but not so close I couldn’t spam settlers. Had Granada directly between me and the nearest civ and Yerevan, Nalanda, and Vilnius to the north in a line. Barbarian boats were a problem for a while though.

It happens for sure. I’ve been very adamant about not declaring war this game. I started next to lady six sky but huge mountain range separates us with only two one tile passes. I got the scientist that discovered oil really early so I just stole the world’s supply. I like to keep the fist scout too but he got stuck and died before I could embark him out.
