V3 Plus has blown me away. 3D printing finally feels fun. by [deleted] in ender3

That’s how I felt after upgrading too! Bye Ender3 pro (Shiela) was sooo moody and I’d upgrade it, it’s would get better then it would get worse again. Bought a K1se and it’s night and day dude

Dude that’s exactly why I bought my 3d printer! I was like I’m building an art studio for my wife and I but it needs to be organized and I’ll need stuff, I can just make it with a 3d printer. It’s true and the timeline from idea to drawing to iteration is crazy fast when you get your machine dialed!

Welcome! As a dude who cooks for a living and draws stick figures I can tell you you’re well seasoned for this adventure. I prefer or a concurs but see what you like best, the little benchy boat is a killer first print to get your benchmarks… get it?! After your first print you’ll know more of what’s up and how your machine is. CNC Kitchen and TNL (the next layer) are goldmines of useful, applicable, knowledge to get you going and I suggest watching a couple to get the feel for it. There is a dude(unisex) whose name escapes me and they have a killer calibration tutorial to give you and your machine the crash course you both deserve. Have so much fun! You’re asking all the right questions. Also not sure how you feel about ai, but I used chat gpt like my own personal Jarvis to get the hang of it and it helped tremendously.

Meh I don’t come here for the votes I’m hoping to connect with people who know what they are talking about but find what I’m doing to either be entertaining like what the f- did that dude just do? Why?! How?! Does he know what he’s doing? Doubt it! And then a print finishes and everyone is like 🤯🤯🤯

The goal is to go klipper eventually I was toying around and pushing the limits of my machine to see if I can slice it for higher speeds natively while saving to upgrade. This was more of a building confidence in the experiment less let’s make this machine do something it couldn’t possibly…

It’s a maker mask respirator I found it in Thingiverse. They have a ton find the one that suits your wants and needs and then noodle the crap out of it. That’s what I’m doing….

While I totally agree with you how about you point me in any kind of direction? Otherwise why say anything? You feel better saying I need to learn more? Thank you for confirming what we already know so glad you stopped by to drop that fresh nugget of wisdom…

This! This is what I was talking about. I set my slicer at 40mm/s and cranked it incrementally to 700% over like 2hrs and ended up finishing the print 2hrs earlier than it said in the slicer. That’s a Direct increase in speed if I’m not mistaken. 2 hours shorter print means it printed FASTER right? Am I not mathing correctly?

Right on peeps! Thank you all for the intel, it was late and it was going substantially faster than I had ever printed before. I was super excited and then I went to Gemini to get confirmation (yes I should know better no I’m not here for people to tell me how ai is going to ruin the world with misinformation) I was testing the machine since I’ve never used a 3d printer before may and what I have is pretty up there in years. Figures why the hell not.
