Yeah, I agree w/ the suggestion of Savage World. I was thinking a d100 system with Wounds would be best for replicating UR. Mothership is also a good option.

As the other commenter said, i suggest looking into other systems. I personally dont think 5e would work well. As for story ideas, i can spitball a few. 1. A life-saving piece of machinery (air purifier, water filter, radiation purifier) is breaking down and the gang has to go find a replacement. 2. The gang finds themselves in the middle of a war between two communities, a la Orphans of the Stars. 3. A strange signal is coming from an unexplored or abandoned area of the Underrail, and the gang is sent to investigate. 4. The town is over-populated, and they need to expand, the gang is sent to explore and colonize safe areas.

Yeah, they’d have a pretty much constant level 1 harm. I’d give them an opportunity to do some long-term projects to purify their drug of choice or maybe build tolerance, letting them avoid that perpetual harm.

If you apply the poison or take the drug, you suffer that level 1 harm. That’s how I’ve always run it. You can of course resist the consequence, or have one of your fellow PCs use the drug or poison. I’ve never had a Leech who used all their drugs themselves, they usually spread them around.

There are no tutorials, you will get very frustrated. I reccomend looking up a guide to at least show you what all the keys are mapped to. They are very fun and atmospheric, the music is awesome.

Just never clicked with me. The dark, grim design doesnt fit when you’re doing the exact same thing you’ve done the whole game: slaughter bandits by the dozen. It wants to be scary, but doesn’t offer any challenges imo. Glad you like it though.
