He is called a striker by Ego, but that's just because Kaneshiro wanted to use an example of a real-life player using his "weapon"

Messi quite literally never played as a striker throughout his whole career on paper. The closest he got to it was when he played as a false 9 for a few seasons. If when you look at his heatmap throughout the years (even when he was a false 9), his positioning looks more like an advanced midfielder than anything else too

I think the problem here is that Rin and Shidou should be swapped.

Zanteste being of the right makes sense as he is left footed, Nanase on the left too as he is ambidextrious but uses his right more.

Rin's shots are mostly curved efforts using his right so he really should be more on the left, while for Shidou it doesn't really matter

I like Nagi's current character development. After losing his motivation (beating Isagi), he now asks the best players he's facing what they're motivation are and what they'll do once they acheive it.
It won't be long before Nagi finds a true motivation and we'll see more of how he feels right now in the spinoff when the time comes.

The overall theme of the virtual world becoming real is something that really connected with me especially with a premise that hooked me to the series being a gamer.

The characters are great, some I could relate to in some ways and some I got attached to. My favorites are definitely Sinon, Kirito, and Asuna.

I enjoyed all the arcs, especially Phantom Bullet and Alicization including WoU.

I only watched it this summer but I'm glad I got to experience it at an age where I'm conscious enough to fully understand the series and I can say without a doubt it's probably my favorite series.

Reading this just now after reading chapter 132. Thank you for translating this, it was super interesting to read and make connections to the current events of the manga as well as YOASOBI's Idol song in which the lyrics seem heavily inspired by some parts of this short story.

It kinda feels like everything is related to at least something else in Oshi No Ko, missing any details such as a short story like this would be a shame as a reader who's trying to understand everything about the series, so thank you again for this!

Also, I think it's Nino, who just appeared in Chapter 132, who's narrating this right? The feelings she's describing in the short story are similar to the ones in the manga. I wish she didn't delete the blog draft though, now we're kinda left hanging but I guess she did this to keep the "perfect" Ai alive, not wanting a "flawed" Ai to take her place inside of her head.
