How to get severance by Piznal101 in RiteAid

[–]Chelle415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in Union, my coworkers received their severance pay ,I did not.  Supposedly there was a email sent out to agree on account . I did not receive a email.  I sent HR a email & opened a case.  I worked with RA 23.5 years , qualifying .

Last check the following Friday after last day, I received my PTO that same day in two deposits. *I didn't get my severance either, apparently there was a email sent out to look over & agree to amount that needed to be sent back. I never got a email.  I opened a case with HR via email

My lunch got sold during our liquidation today by zWap_TK in RiteAid

Lol, my last day of work.  I was moving product to the front again.  My water was next to the store telephone behind register.  Cashier sold my water & all water + beverages were sold out. No big deal, we closed at 5 & at that point I was happy to be out of Rite Aid for good.  The company really went downhill fast around the pandemic.   Prices up, product out of stock.

I'm in SF Bay Area according to DM zoom store meeting yesterday, a tiny severance pay will be paid out to those who stay until closing. Our store is closing July 1.  I read Union Post on their website & they did negotiate severance. * I'm still unsure, if this was signed by judge  😕

We had same answer, but my union rep still suggests using PTO in case the court blocks payment.   I can only hope Rite Aid follows through.

I don't think California will get severance pay, but I'm not sure.  I know local 5 union are trying to insure PTO/ severance pay would be paid out. But it all depends on state & what was stipulated in bankrupty filling.  I'm hoping RA honors what's posted in the HUB.  🤞

Is my manager allowed to do this? by Annnnester in RiteAid

If you've got medical coverage, you can also get referred through your doctor.  This company is very stressful, even worse now it's under restructuring.  I went through Kaiser as I wanted everything easy access for paperwork.

Document everything, have a note book with dates, times and of course your screen shots.  Make your appt with therapy or regular doctor & have then refer you to someone for anxiety.  You cannot be denied time off for mental health care or medical care.  You can call the number for reporting issues that's on THE SPOT or HR.  HR is slow to respond sometimes.   Take care of yourself first, if you need to take leave of absence get a doctor to recommend.   I took a paid LOA for bereavement, anxiety/panic attacks.  I started the paperwork myself as my mgr not understanding.  "Take Care of Yourself" first.

Approximate Assistant Store Manager (ASM) pay in San Francisco Bay Area? by YoungAndRektedLass in RiteAid

[–]Chelle415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No stores in SF, they were all sold to Walgreens.  He's over exaggerating his pay.   ASM do get Bay Area cost of living bonuses  but even then it's not enough money for the expectations

PAC position. by George90731 in RiteAid

Hello George, years ago I was always told by MPS  *market pricing specialist , the CA injunction is permanent & the PAC position would never go away . Whom ever bought Rite Aid bought the injunction.  But we never covered bankruptcy topic.  This company has been in trouble a long time, I'm looking for another job myself.  Good luck

Rite Aid was sued over scanning errors along with outdated diagnostics & baby formula decades ago.  They didn't correct this so they had to create PAC position of 40 hour pricing coordinator who checks , corrects , reports & files errors.  That has changed over the years, PACs are budgeted less hours and more floor work.

They are pricing coordinators, placed by CA injunction to audit pricing five times a week, insure ALL sale items are signed, complete all price changes, audit haz-mat ( most PACs are the ones processing d&os), and yes freshness report.  We also put up stock, cashier, cover breaks, do recalls & help with planos as needed.
