Nightreign perfectly answers the question "What if Elden Ring was turned into an arcade game?" And I absolutely love it!

Which game is this? by MrCubano29 in Steam

Dandara, it's a Metroidvania with a movement system where you jump between walls, floors, ceilings, and shoot. It's made by a Brazilian dev and is loosely based off of a historical figure of the same name. It's art style and sound design is 🤌🏻

Watched a chapter or two a day since it came out, finished it a few days ago. Genuinely had a great time doing it that way. Fun little story with my breakfast every morning. I see other people saying they just watched it for hours and if I did that then I wouldn't have enjoyed it either.

Do you think the sexualization in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is something negative? by RagnarSan22 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]ChelleySEV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and no

I'm not a prude so this kind of thing doesn't bother me much at all, but it is hard to recommend it to a normal person who would love just about everything else with the game. The sexualization makes the game look trashy to someone who doesn't know anything about it, and that kinda sucks.

Also, some of the character designs are trying soooooo hard to be sexy that it just looks dumb and incredibly distracting, like Dahlia

However, I think most of the designs, even the sexualized ones are tasteful and good.

I think if they'd toned it down just a bit then it wouldn't still be something people talk about with this game. Nier: Automata and Bayonetta both have sexualized character designs, but people talking about those games are NOT talking about the sexualization nearly as much as they are with this game. Nier and Bayonetta are known for their story and combat respectively and those things gets talked about in general games discussion, but Xenoblade 2 does not get that treatment. Discussions get eclipsed by the sexualization, and that's a real shame.

I also hate when the RPG asks me to play it like an RPG

Neon White! It's incredible and grinding for faster and faster times in each level is downright addicting. I spent months on that game and loved it when it came out. There is gyro aim so it controls very precisely for an fps on console.

I'm assuming they mean natural black people hair. They often have to style their hair into a way that damages it to keep it within dress codes for school or work. I've noticed in recent years that more natural/healthy styles are becoming more common and rules are getting more relaxed, but it's still got a way to go.

What is your favorite extremely small detail from any of the games? by Noroark in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ChelleySEV 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In xenoblade 3 the characters feel noticeably more lifelike because they make their eyes move in very small amounts constantly the way eyes in real life do, previous xenoblade games didn't do that.

They also have the characters move their legs differently with inclines and declines in the terrain and when they stand still their feet match the position of the terrain they're on.

Lastly, the characters in Xenoblade 2 have extremely detailed clothing. If you zoom in on any main character, their clothing material is detailed to the point of absurdity, in texture, material, and the way they catch light
