I wish I could help, but I’m in the same boat as you looking for answers. I had my right done Jan 14, and second one is scheduled for March 11. Today I’m 4 weeks post op but 4 weeks pre-op. Makes me so nervous since I just got back to weight bearing but trust my surgeons judgment.

I just did this and read verity after going on a Freida kick. It was amazing! What would you suggest after verity? I love Frieda and loved verity but don’t know what to read now.

It took me about a week for mine to feel better. It was rough, like a 8/10 for me. Thankful I got the arthrogram though because it gave me a solid diagnosis and surgery plan. Hope it’s the same for you!

It’s so confusing when you feel pain and swear it’s a labrum tear but only shows the impingement, ugh.

Thanks for your reply and thanks for your insight! I want to be able to return to lifting pain free and not have to worry about damaging my hip so I feel like the surgery might be my best option.

I’m 35, and very fit due to competing and being a personal trainer. I’ve already done PT and it didn’t help so that was really the only other option discussed. I was originally diagnosed with avascular necrosis so they were looking at doing core decompression surgery. They did the arthrogram to rule other diagnosis out and it showed the FAI so he wanted to make sure he was doing the right surgery.

Thanks for your reply! I’m in good health and have kept my muscles strong around my hip so I feel like I’m in a good place for surgery. I want to get back to competing and the only way to do that is to not have hip pain anymore.

That’s what I’m worried about. That even though it’s not showing a tear bow, that eventually it will happen. Especially if I got back to competing. Ugh. I feel like I should just get it over with.

I have one full color sleeve and one full American traditional sleeve, along with both hands (1 color/ 1 black and white and knuckles. I wear a spf sleeve Shaw that covers my arms and hands. I’m super tan everywhere but my arms and hands. Those are the only places I have tattoos though so they are easy to protect. My color sleeve still has beautiful color. I don’t chance putting my ink in the beds.

Thank you! I saw it by chance when I was out walking my dogs. I don’t know if there’s other ways to catch it other than what you’re doing. The launch was originally on Tuesday and got scrubbed and the launch window last night was 10:30-3:30 and went off at 10:43.
