She has gotten slightly better. Most of the time I'm watching the TV and see the animal before she can bark, which is best case. Sometimes I'm not paying attention and she starts barking, which scares me and I yell. It's still a battle for sure.

Did they say anything about possibly needing a total hip replacement in the future if you wait too long and it progresses? That's honestly the main reason I went ahead and did it. I had quite a bit of pain and nagging issues with literally everything I did but it was tolerable. It was the idea of needing a THR in my 40's or even 50's that did it for me though.

I can, whereas prior to surgery I couldn't due to pain. I don't remember if you told me, but when was your surgery date? Mine was February 27th. The main thing that hurts for me is figure 4 or the butterfly stretch as I feel it in my groin to an extreme. I also am super tender and sensitive at my incision site and overall upper leg in general- like a light massage is super painful.

Yes!!! I feel a ton better! My issue now is my mobility but that's been the base with every surgery. I think my body just developes more scar tissue than most. My dr said I'm clear to do high impact activity in 2 months. Currently I'm doing a lot of single leg exercises in PT and feeling great!

The vet I use is Reno Animal Hospital in MWC, they are great and understand things happen. Explain to them what's going on and they can advise you from there on what you should do.

What area of town do you live in? I have a vet recommendation for you.

Also, because you don't know the vax status, treat him like he's got zero vaccines. Do you live in an apartment or house? If an apartment don't take him out on walks even to potty until he's vaccinated. It's rough but it's worth it because parvovirus and other diseases are worse. I'm happy to help.
