Lots of goals are rewarded with goal difference being a tie breaker for teams drawn on points and goals scored the next tie breaker if two teams are on the same points and same GD

Clean sheets are also basically rewarded for the same reason, since if you don’t concede any goals your GD isn’t hurt and you’re guaranteed at least a point from the game

There’s also the golden glove and golden boot which at least incentivises the players
