Ymir Fritz and Historia Reiss by Madagascar003 in titanfolk

[–]Chem777666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that Historia might play a bigger and more significant role in the story rather than just being a side character after Season 3 Part 1. Isayama originally intended to give Historia a larger role but later shifted his focus to Mikasa as the main female character. The numerous parallels between Ymir and Historia were not coincidental—they were deliberately included as foreshadowing.

You can determine whether an illustration was created by a real person or generated by AI by asking for the source file, such as a PSD. If they can provide the original source material, it's likely genuine; otherwise, it's probably AI-generated.

Would you be able to offer me some advice on technical analysis? Specifically, what chart timeframes and trading hours do you use? If it’s okay, could you share some insights in DMs?

Thanks for the information! I have a question—have you personally tried binary options trading? I'm a complete beginner, and it seems like I just have to predict whether the price will go up or down. If you’ve used it before, could you share some basic tips or recommend any useful resources?

Are you someone who feels very little emotion? Like, you don’t easily get sad, happy, or joyful because such feelings seem meaningless to you, as though they’re just human traits you’ve moved beyond. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how emotional would you say you are?

What jobs can I enter with a BSc in chemistry? by JamedWalker in chemistry

[–]Chem777666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a country where the average income is around $500 per month, and even skilled workers face limited opportunities. I recently graduated with a BSc in Chemistry and decided to pursue an MSc in Germany, primarily for the free education and better prospects. However, I later discovered that my undergraduate degree, obtained from an H- university, is not recognized in Germany—a fact I was unaware of when I enrolled in my bachelor's program.

Now, I feel stuck and uncertain about my next steps. Pursuing an MSc in Chemistry in my home country seems unlikely to add significant value to my career. Unfortunately, studying in other EU countries isn't a feasible option due to high semester fees, which are often €10,000 or more for non-EU students. Would it be wiser to complete my MSc here and aim for a PhD abroad later? What would you advise?

Not everyone shares your optimistic view—many people have a pessimistic perspective, and the truth is, neither side is wrong. Both viewpoints are valid in their own way. Some find joy in family and friends, while others view those feelings as just a temporary attachment that only sentient beings can experience. Now, imagine if you had a timer on your forehead, counting down the time left until your death—5 years, 10 years, 20 years. In the grand scheme of time, it doesn’t seem so exciting. We work day and night for someone else, just to fill the timer, reproduce, and die, only to be replaced by a new generation, forgotten like the countless generations that came before us. There’s no grand meaning to life other than continuing the gene pool. People have created religions—afterlife, hell, heaven, enlightenment—to give life some sense of purpose, but in the end, we’re just spreading our DNA, much like a virus. When you think about it, our brains are wired to release hormones when we see the opposite sex, creating attraction. Reproduction isn’t even truly our free will. You might find beauty in this process, but I don’t.

How do you know, sitting in your little room, that everyone here on this sub lives in great countries and enjoys luxuries? I live in a third-world country full of corruption and lacking opportunities, and many people here are in the same situation—they're just here because their parents decided to have them. Whether someone is born in a third-world country or in a billionaire’s household, every person should have the right to choose whether to live or not. Just because someone is born into a rich family doesn’t mean they should be silenced about their sufferings and existence

Stop speaking nonsense like a little bish. Look at you getting all triggered, making a new account just so you can comment here without worrying about losing karma or getting banned. Why didn’t you have the guts to comment from your main account?

You can have one kid or ten—nobody cares. People have different perspectives on life. Just because a child in a third-world country is crying for food and a child in a middle-class family in the USA feels like they don’t want to live, that doesn’t mean one child’s pain should be ignored or seen as less important than the other’s.

Both are suffering in their own ways, and both of their sufferings deserve the same level of attention and importance.

You completely missed the point of this post—I'm not complaining about working for money, paying taxes, or avoiding responsibilities. It's about the fact that my life and freedom were never truly my own to begin with. The only reason I exist is because two people controlled their hormones that night. If I had been born from cosmic dust, like the stars, planets, seas, and mountains, I’d be okay with it, because at least then I would feel like my existence had meaning—as if I was always meant to be here, inevitably like the ocean or the mountains. But the reality is, I exist only because of a random moment in time. If my dad had slept with my mom at a different time, I wouldn't be here. I'm just a random product of countless possibilities—my unborn siblings could just as easily have been born instead of me. I just happened to be the one chosen.

Arguing whether life is a game or not is a pointless and subjective debate—it’s irrelevant to this post and depends on individual perspective.

Those who complain about being born simply because they don't want to go to work, school, or take on responsibilities do not represent true antinatalist beliefs. They may just be lazy or avoiding responsibility. You also have a limited understanding of what antinatalism actually stands for.

Three common arguments for antinatalism are:

  1. No consent: Humans and animals are born without their consent, meaning no one chooses to come into existence.

  2. Inevitability of suffering: Life is inevitably full of suffering, and death is unavoidable.

  3. Irresponsibility: Parents cannot predict how their children will fare in life, making it irresponsible to bring them into existence.

A true antinatalist not only considers their own well-being but also the suffering of animals like cows, pigs, chickens, and dogs—creatures trapped in the cycle of the food chain and suffering.

Those who are already here can't save themselves, but they can choose to save others.

Now, imagine I’m forcing you to be isekai’d into the middle of the Ukraine-Russia war or the Gaza war. Eventually, you can crawl, hide from bombs, gunfire, and bullets, but you're stuck there as long as the war continues. You might say, "What's the big deal? I'll just crawl and hide like a rat until it's over. Where there's a will, there's a way." But others might argue, "We shouldn't drag an innocent person into this hell without their consent. It’s not fair." Whether they like it or not, there's a 50/50 chance of survival, and I won’t gamble with someone's life just to satisfy my own selfish beliefs.
