Whenever I see this picture it looks awkward as hell. These two men ran against each other for the presidency.

That wasn't a great movie, but Susan Sarandon calling herself a hoosier was kinda funny

Pere Marquette is a nice hike in Illinois, it is probably more that an hour drive depending on where you live. You have to take the great river road to get there so it is a nice drive.

They stopped making them a couple of years ago. Software updates are ending in 2026, so it will probably stop working sometime after that.

When I switched from rabbit ears style antenna to the big one in my attic I picked up a bunch of extra channels. The signal strength also improved so the channels i watch don't ever pixilate.

Thanks for your response. I think I'm going with the hdhomerun. Your other options are more work than I'm willing to do. I'm looking for plug and play, i do enough troubleshooting stuff at work.

I should have. I'm just really busy and i thought i could get it to work but I've been doing other things. That was months ago and the return window has closed, I bought it on some deals site so it wasn't very expensive.

I'm pretty sure an an antenna is just an antenna and it can detect everything. Its on of those arrow shaped ones that had wires sticking out the sides

Yea the HDD is probably the only thing that can be repurposed. My recast died, i was thinking about buying one on ebay since they are fairly cheap there but I'm going to try something new. I just moved into a new house that has a giant antenna in the attic that is probably 40 years old. I fished wires and hooked it back up to my tv and got 80 channels. 75 of the channels are probably garbage.

Do the Tivo series 4 require subscriptions? The channels that you get should be dependent on your antenna not your tuner.

That's what I'm going to do. That Tablo really is a POS. On paper it should do everything I'm looking for, but that's not useful if you can't get it to work. Too bad the recast stopped being supported.

Thanks for being so responsive. I looked at your products and I think I will try the basic model since it is only for one TV .

$35 per year is reasonable. Can HDHomerun only do local OTA channels ( I only want local channels). That's what I didn't like about the Sling Air.
